I'm not sure if lasting a year and a half counts as a One Year Wonder, but Sledge Hammer! is one of my favorites. The network doomed this show by putting it against the Cosby Show. Whenever it aired at a different time it did much better in the ratings.

I love how detective Sledge Hammer fights crime by comedic excessive brutal violence. The fact that the show starts out with a gun on a pillow cracks me up everytime I see it. You can't take the show seriously, if you did - You definately wouldn't like it.

I am lucky enough to have 7 episodes of this show to trade or sell . email me at benjjones@cox.net Well work something out. Show's I have are:

Magnum Farce
Hammer Hits the Rock (Guest Starring: Bill Bixby)
Last of the Red Hot Vampiress
All Shook Up
Witless
Wild about Hammer
Under the Gun

Another classic is The Charmings which I believe, but not sure it also faced doomed by being on the same time as A Different World. Anybody have episodes of this, Please let me know.

I watched Sledge Hammer and the Charmings. You are right, they were both good shows. During its first season Sledge Hammer aired opposite Dallas and Miami Vice. It didn't have an easy time of it.

Sledge Hammer is one of the best shows from the 1980's. It's a shame that no one posts at this board. A very underrated show. :(

I have to disagree with you. Yeah he talked to his gun and was silly but that's what I liked about him. He didn't take himself too seriously.

Sledge Hammer ruled! :woohoo:

This board needs to see a lot more action. :(

 And it's certainly one of the most underrated shows.
