If I could change one thing, Cheers would have had an entire episode dealing with Coach's death, instead of the weak "Coach passed away several months ago" copout we were treated with during the season four premiere.

I'm not sure. I haven't heard anythin from my "source" in a few weeks. Last I heard, it was placed on the TBA list. I'm trying to find out how the season one set sold, and whether or not Viacom considers it a success, but he hasn't gotten back to me.

That everyone in the bar finds out sam's really gay at the end of the show. I mean c'mon, that would be the ultimate plot twist! But then it wouldn't make much sense because of Diane.

I would also change that at the end of season 5, Diane Dies. Then in the last ep, she comes to the bar and everyone discovers she faked her death.

And this is true. One idea for the ending was that they were going to find out that Norm really didnt drink his beer and that he had just been dumping them on the floor over th years. He was just there to hang out. But George needed the whole beer thing for another project that idea was canned. I read it in a John Ratzenberger interview.

Yeah it had something to do with him being a moromon, and that he couldnt drink beer. I'll try to find the interview and post it here. The interview is really funny. John talks about the day where him and George found out that Ted wore a hair replacement unit.:lol:

Sam being Gay, I had an idea about that once. At the end of the series, Diane would ask him to marry her, and he would come out of the closest.

Yeah Sam being gay, Norm being a mormon. All of these things would have been kind of funy, But the show would have been dead and buried after the finale.

Actually, if I knew Cheers had absolutely NO chance of a reunion, and if Frasier never happened.

Having Sam be gay would be comic genious, IMO. It would just be a really funny way to sum up a great series.

But having him gay throughout all 11 seasons wouldnt be good. Just end the series with Sam coming out of the closet.

I would die! And i don't think that they could justify sam being gay, i mean seriously gay men don't chase thousands of wmoen and try to get every one he sees to go to bed with him. hmmm maybe cliff could be gay though

If that happened, Cheers would have sucked. It would be a terrible ending IMO. It just ruins the whole series.
