Excellent news for us living here in Galveston/Houston, TX as well. Starting on Labor Day, September 1, 2003, Local Syndication channel 55 - The Tube, will begin airing Mr. Ed at 5:00 p.m. central time. It has been a good 20+ years since Mr. Ed has been on a syndication channel. I was very excited to open the TV Guide to see this. I about fell off my chair when I saw that. I will be calling our 55 The Tube based in Conroe, TX and tell them how delighted I am to see this great sitcom once again. I will be rolling out the tapes and add to my collection as I already have 52 episodes of the series. Also, coming to Ch. 55 will include All In The Family, Green Acres, Addams Family, Simon & Simon, Beverly Hillbillies, I Dream Of Jeannie, McHale's Navy. Add that to the other shows they already air that will stay on including Leave It To Beaver, I Love Lucy, Andy Griffith, Alfred Hitchcock Hour, Quincy M.E., Family Ties, and the Rockford Files, and Little House On A Prairie. What a huge line up. Thank god for this channel as our other syndication channels are airing modern day comedies that are less quality to the older shows. I am hoping Ch. 55 will air within the next 2 years, Archie Bunker's Place, One Day At A Time, My Three Sons, and Patty Duke. At the rate they are going, it might not be too long.
