I'm surprised no one's thought of this. Nothing but westerns, 24/7. All the old greats. Tom Mix serials. John Huston epics. Adult Westerns. Hopalong Cassidy. The Lone Ranger. The Cisco Kid. Roy Rogers. I'd even add the old "race" westerns, featuring Herb Jeffery and Spencer Williams (Andy on the old "Amos 'n' Andy" Show!) There'd be a special film retrospective every week with The Duke, Clint Eastwood, Lee Marvin, Gary Cooper, etc.
If I had the resources, I'd do it!!
What about YOU?
Ya know, that wouldn't be a bad idea.
There have been so many westerns on TV, surely they wouldn't be a shortage of programming. Plus they could do various programs about the history of westerns, behind the scenes documentaries about the making of a show or movie, profiles of the big stars...
It's a good idea.

I think that sounds like a great idea. It beats The Travel Channel.

There IS a western digital channel in Canada called Lone Star (http://www.canada.com/entertainment/tvchannels/lonestar/). :)
There is probably room for another Westerns Channel on regular cable. There is a Westerns Channel, as hunter said on digital. It's good, too. They show some of the old, old shows. They show Gunsmoke without the commercials. Man, is that ever a treat! They have retrospectives about the old and older actors and how the movies were made in this and that era. It's a great channel. They show lots of movies from the very old to the quite recent. I tune into it fairly often. I forget about sometimes and then get all happy when I remember. "Oh yeah, Cowboys, great, lol.!
