Nate turned over in his bed to the woman beside him. He sat upon his arm and stared at his personal sleeping beauty. Nate leaned his head down and kissed her arm, softly. The woman stirred and opened her eyes, alomst shutting them again because of bright sun-light pouring into the room.
"Hey." Nate said.
"Hey." The woman opened her eyes, fully this time. They kissed. The woman put Nate's head on her naked body, hidden by silk sheets.
"I love you, CD." Said Nate, taking a deep breath. The only probalem was, the woman wasn't CD!

"I got coffee!" Captain Kate said, walking into the office that occupied Magda, Jinny and CD.
"Oh, you my are Savior!" Jinny got up from her desk and took one of the coffee cups Cap. was holding. She sat down in her seat.
"What's the matter with her. It's just coffee, not oil."
"Well, Cap. Me and Jinny have been working very hard on this Tom Gripton case." Magda slammed the Gripton case folder on her desk.
"No suspects? You and Exstead have been working on this case for a week!"
"We did have a suspect. His brother, Mike. But he was shot and killed." Replied Jinny, taking a another huge gulp of the steaming hot coffee. All of a sudden the phone on Magda's desk rang. She picked it up.
"Ramerize."
"Hello. This is Mrs. Bliss, Benjamin's teacher."
"Is anything wrong?"
"Would you come down to the school and pick your son up. He's been in a fight."
"Oh, God. Hold on, please." Magda took the phone off her ear and turned to Cap. whom was giving CD coffee. "Captain, I need to pick up Ben. from school. Could I take a few hours off?" Cap. nodded her head. Magda put the phone back to her ear. "Ok, I'll be down there in a few minutes. Bye." Magda hung up the phone, and started to put on her jacket. "Thanks, Cap. I'll be back as soon as I can." And she walked out the door.

"What did you call me?" The woman asked.
"Ashley. I called you Ashley."
"No, Nate. You didn't. You called me CD. Your ex-wife." Ashley got out of the bed and went to the bathroom. A few minutes later, she came out (with her clothes on) and left the apartment.
Nate sighed and layed back on his bed. He looked over at his bedside table. A picture of CD sat there. He picked the picture up and pulled it to his bare chest.

"So, CD." Jinny's voice sounded muffled becasue she was laying face down on her desk. "How's Nate?" She quickly raised her head up. "Oh, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to-"
"No. It's fine. I'm fine. Now, I'm a free woman, which means I can date whoever I please." But, deep down, CD didn't want to date other people, she wanted to date Nate, to be with him again. But, that was water under the bridge now.
"Excuse me. I have to go to the bathroom." CD got out of her seat and walked out of the office.

Walking over to the sink, CD looked into the mirror. A tear streamed down her soft cheek.

Magda walked into Mrs. Bliss's class room. Mrs. Bliss was at her desk, and Benjamin, sitting in a chair beside her. He has a paper towel under his nose, with blood stains on it.
"Mrs. Bliss?" Says Magda. "I'm Benjamin's mom."
"Oh, yes." The teacher looks from Benjamin to his mother. "Please sit down." Magda sits in a chair in front of Mrs. Bliss and exhailes deeply. "Well, Mrs. Ramerize. I adore you're son. He's been my best student. But his behavior lately has been...bad. Are there any problems at home?"
"No. I mean me and his father got divorced.. but at 1st, he didn't have any problem with it."
"Oh, I see. Is he taken care of?"
"Yes. When I have to go to work and I can't find a sitter, he comes to work with me. He loves my partner, Jinny. They get along great."
"He started it!" Came Bens voice.
"He did not, Ben." Mrs. Bliss turned to Ben. "You called the boy a sissy baby."
Magda looked at her son. "Ben, that wasn't nice. I'm sorry, Mrs. Bliss, for the trouble. As for you, young man. You're grounded."

Closing the door to the class room, Magda turned to her son.
"What has gotten into you? Calling people names."
"I'm like this because I want you and dad to get back together again."

"CD. I didn't know you were here." Kate walked into the bathroom, to find CD, looking in the mirror.
"Hey, Cap. I was just leaving. I was...um..cheaking my make-up."
"Wrong. I think you've been thinking about Nate."
"How do you it?"
"Do what?"
"Become so smart."
"Well, number one, I'm the Captain of a police department and number two, your eyes are puffy, so you've crying. Do you want my advice?"
"Sure."
"Give Nate a call.... or better still, go to his apartment."
"Ok, I will. Thanks, Cap." CD gives Cap. a big hug and walks out of the bathroom.
"Damn, I'm good!"
