I think Nightmare 1 was best, and I know a lot of other people think so too. Besides Freddy VS Jason...what's your favorite Nightmare on Elm Street Sequel?

Besides Freddy VS Jason...what's your favorite Nightmare on Elm Street Sequel? Brian 08-22-2003, 12:21 AM The Dream Warriors is my favorite of the sequels. The Dream Master is my second favorite. Unwanted Angel 08-22-2003, 01:16 AM Freddy's Dead is my all time favorite, with The Dream Master in second. Rockapella722 08-22-2003, 02:15 AM Freddy's Dead was AWESOME!!! Mr. Television 08-22-2003, 02:16 AM The Dream Warriors pandora_spocks 08-22-2003, 03:25 AM As much as I love Heather Langenkamp in parts 1,3, and 7 I went with Lisa Wilcox in the Dream Master. The Dream Master happens to be the one I watch the most often so I chose it. Unwanted Angel 08-22-2003, 01:07 PM Originally posted by Rockapella722 Freddy's Dead was AWESOME!!! Was it just me, or was Freddy the funneist in FD? I thought he was very funny in it. webuster 08-24-2003, 09:23 AM I just rented probably the oldest video in the rental store- volume one of Freddy's Nightmares. I had gotta see the pilot- and though it's interesting (and the only episode with Freddy in the stoyline- make an interesting pilot then go downhill, as they do now) it's actually very bad. They never show you Fred Krueger's face, and they have that ****ty Lifetime Young and the Restless acting- the cop that never shuts up about 'the law is the law'- but the end is great. The crazy blonde girl was the only half-decent actor in it. When I heard Freddy died in a boiler room- I thought it was going to be like Hocus Pocus were they lock in the witches, turn on the furnace and watch his face press against the glass, burning- but it wasn't, and I thought Freddy would've resisted getting set alight- that's why he came back for revenge sure. Freddy's Dead has a different version of Freddy's Human 'death'- with him in the garden, his house no fire, talking to the little ghosts that 'he wants it all' - now they wanna make a prequel, they should probably make their mind up. Though a prequel would mean it woudn't be supernatural or have nightmares. And in the pilot they forget that a cop went missing on duty. The episode 'Killer Instinct' started great but dragged out. I've seen 2 freddy films, freddy's dead and new nightmare- New Nightmare is the best. Governor 08-24-2003, 07:28 PM My Favorites in order: A Nightmare On Elm Street Part 2: Freddy's Revenge Part 3: Dream Warriors New Nightmare Part 4: The Dream Master Freddy's Dead: The Final Nightmare Part 5: The Dream Child So, I voted Part 2... Ditto dandelion wine 08-26-2003, 09:59 PM Part 3 - Dream Warriors Jack1000 08-27-2003, 08:20 PM Nightmare on Elm Street I is my favorite of the Freddy versions. the genious of it, is never knowing whether the charactors were in a dream state or an awake state. I loved how the "boiler room" was such a central theme of the movie. I thought that #2, was just awful! #3, The Dream Warriers is very good! Never saw #4 or #5 Jack Brian Damage 08-27-2003, 10:52 PM Dream Warriors probably...new nightmare was the worst. I Love Carol Burnett! 01-30-2004, 10:05 PM Dream Warrior Freddy VRS Jason rocked thought!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! vashti1999 01-31-2004, 04:21 AM Part 5 - Dream Child webuster 01-31-2004, 08:56 AM I've seen all but Part 5 of the freddy films now. I'd say New Nightmare is still scariest, but Dream Master was a great sequel imo. I saw the freddy dvd boxset at hmv for £25- parts 1-5 only. Over here, I think Freddy's Dead is out of print on all formats here- rights were sold I think and thats why part6,7 and Freddy Vs Jason couldn't use 'Nightmare on Elm St'- that's why the boxet only has 1 to 5. It's a shame- Freddy's Deads a very entertaining (and most psychadelic) film. |
