The Sanford Arms probably shouldn't have happened because Fred and Lamont were not in it. Joanie Loves Chachi would have been better off as a continuation series (like Mayberry RFD and Archie Bunker's Place) after Happy Days ended its run.

The Sanford Arms was a bad Idea as even the series Sanford was a better show. Mork And Mindy was a great show during the first season, but the rest of the seasons were not. I actually liked Joanie Loves Chachi but they were better on Happy Days.

Don't forget 704 Hauser (1994)- I've never personally seen it, but a spin-off coming 11 years after the previous show ended; without any of the previous cast members :eek: Joey did guest star in the first episode, but it wasn't enough.

You just explained why that show was NOT a spin-off. Joey coming on it was not enough to make it a spin-off. Some people think it can be delared as one because the house was "spun-off." I don't think so.

Sorry if it isn't, but I always thought it was, as it was listed in the "Spin-offs & Crossovers Page". I thought Joey being brought in in the first episode was the attempt to associate it with the previous shows, thus making it a spin-off, however weak it may be. I guess I was wrong...

Don't be sorry! :) Some people still think it is a spin-off. There are different rules people go by when they think of a show being a spin-off.

Those two were not only weird, but horrible as well!


Mork and Mindy, I thought was a great show with funny characters especially Mork. I will give anything to see that show again on the air. Oh Hallmark . . . wait, better yet . . .oh TV Land.

"Grady" was a great character on "Sanford & Son" but his show wasn't very funny. But "Maude"? It was great! Bea Arthur was funny as hell. "Maude" wasn't horrible! That's where "Good Times" came from.

The idea of the show Good Times didn't come from Mwude, only the character Florida Evans

At least you now realize it was the same character.

I think FLO was a bad idea. The storyline was bad but the show itself needed some serious help.:( :( :rolleyes: :rolleyes:

That show was supposed to be a hit, since Flo was the "star" of "Alice". Didn't happen.

704 Hauser was kind of a spin off... kind of not. Norman Lear created it, he also created AITF and it's spin-offs. But rather than a spin-off, I think the show was a miserable attempt by Lear to return to his former glory.
