I understood what you meant. It's all about people trying so hard to have that punk image, when they are actually so self-conscious and end up acting like a bunch of poseurs. "Look at me, I'm so tres punk!!"
Prolly not a good example, but seven years ago I saw a Christian concert with veteran bands Petra and White Heart with newer bands Johnny Q. Public and Grammatrain. I thought of it kind of like a weird billing sort of like Journey and REO Speedwagon opening with the Offspring and the Melvins (if it were a secular show). So anyway, the lead singer of Johnny Q. Public was dumb enough to make references to his spiked up pointy hair, "see how punked out my hair is!" sort of thing. If this guy was a TRUE punk, he would shut his yap about his hair and let other people dig it and make their own decisions.

Lisa's album is NOT crappy. Call me a biased listener, but it was very modern and upbeat. At least by 1984 standards. I think it
stands the test of time.

Just remember a lot of the stuff you guys listen to now is going to be considered "crappy" and "outdated" in a few years, if not in a few minutes.

I imagine her son is listening to all the bands like Puddle of Mudd and Papa Roach and Korn and all them.

Btw, has anyone heard of MxPx? They're a Christian punk band. I've heard of a lot of good things by people who aren't even Christian about them.

my cousin has their cd but it doesnt have any christian lyrics. not that I noticed. I think the band is just christian and most of their music isnt necessarily christian based. not sure though.

Their lyrics aren't "religious" or chock full of Christianese, but non-religious lyrics don't mean that a band isn't writing from a Christian perspective.

You might want to look through used record stores or e-bay for it. A Christian store MIGHT have it. If you look on the Facts Of Line Online site, there is a place where you can hear her songs. Some people on the Facts of Life Yahoo! Groups have copies to sell. It was the coolest thing when Lisa signed my copy two years ago!!:cool:
