Steven's one of my favorite panelists, and I loved that comment he made about Jaws.

They must be KIDDING!! That whole hour show and Steven was on it at the very end!. I thought for sure he was going to be 'scattered' throughout the show. They sure had enough Hal Sparks and Michael Ian Black(I think that's his name).

On another board, I mentioned that I liked Barry Manilow, and I got such a kick out of what they were saying about him on that same show. I especially liked when Tom Arnold said, "Oh, Mandy. I've made out a few times to that song. With Barry Manilow, ironically." Ha! LOL!

hahaha yeah. "I was afraid to go to the toilet. of anything to do with water in general." Steven rules.

that was a funny show. I watched all of the VH1 "I love the 80's" shows because I'm an 80's freak, but I didn't think I woud enjoy the "I love the 70's" at all because well, I wasn't born until 1982... so I wasn't alive yet during the 70's. lol. But it was funny to hear everyone talk about all that stuff. Like "Monty Python and the Holy Grail". I love that movie. I can practically recite the whole thing. lol. and about that song "Feelings" OH MAN, I've always HATED that song! It was so hilarious how most of them were saying that they hoped they'd never hear it again. hahahaa.

and I didn't even know that "Land Of the Lost" was a show from the 70's until a few months ago.. Back in the early 90's, there was a remake of that show on Nickelodeon. me and my brother used to watch it every Saturday! lol. I never knew it was a remake of a show from the 70's until not too long ago. I remember that in the remake, there was this jungle girl named Christa, and I got mad because she had my name. ...at least it was different in that it wasn't spelled with a K. then I would really have to go kung-fu on someone...

lol ok. I'll stop rambling... er, "mind meandering" as someone told me it is. ;)

Are you kidding? The whole 70's DECADE had a lousy sense of taste....and I have a closet filled with old Disco clothes to PROVE it!

Looking back at old photos of myself, my sister & brother in the 70's, and the clothes we wore!! Oh, plaids & stripes. Good times. I guess I could put 70's music down as a guilty pleasure, too, because I like alot of it, especially disco. On the show last night, they were talking about that yellow 8-track tape player and I was floored because I used to have that exact same thing!!

For those who have seen 'Close Encounters of the Third Kind', well, the part at the end where all the people who were abducted over the years come back to 1977. We're always joking about the air force guys who were abducted in the 40's, then they return in the 70's, that they'll probably begging the aliens to take them back!!  In reality, can you imagine what a culture shock that would be?

not to disagree with you or anything pilotguy, but I loved the 70s ... I was growing up with lots and lots of foster brothers and sisters, I lived in a very small town (pop. less than 300 people)where everyone knew each other and got together, and the most important thing, I had 2 sets of parents (foster and my natural parents) ... but as soon as the 80s hit, I lost all of my foster family (it was in the court papers that I wasnt suppose to have anymore contact with them), lost my mom on Dec. 8th, 80 and my father started drinking heavy ... :(

Oh, I loved the 70's too...but the clothes DID stink!

I was in my 20's and single during the 70's....and boy, did I DANCE AND PARTY!

In fact, our office secretary is in her late 20's and she's always talking about going out to this bar or that dance club with her friends....and I always tell her, "You would have LOVED the 70's....It was a great time to be alive!".

Of course, the long-range effects of that decade sure did a number on me!

Speaking of "The 70's Look", remember that "Wings" episode (I almost forgot...This IS a "Wings" message board, right?) when Helen was telling Casey about her mental "Happy Place"....and it turned out to be a scene from "The Brady Bunch"?

That was hilarious....Helen all decked out like Marcia Brady, and Joe in full 70's garb....loud, polyester, wide-lapeled shirt and bell-bottoms!

What a great bit...and I couldn't believe that they went to all that costume and set-designing trouble for a scene that only lasted a few minutes!

, I was having flashbacks of that ep. where they dug up that old tin can and Joe with that funkee perm, :rotflmao:

Good morning starshine
The earth says hello
You twinkle above us
We twinkle below

Good morning starshine
You lead us along
My love and me as we sing
Our early morning singing song

Gliddy glub gloopy
Nibby nabby noopy
La la la lo lo
Sabba sibby sabba
Nooby abba nabba
Le le lo lo
Tooby ooby walla
Nooby abba naba
Early morning singing song
