Yeah I got it. I def love this movie and I'm happy I got the dvd. I think the theater experience is better cos its like new and u dont know whats coming and it just sorta blows u away. Its alot of fun to watch (except for my one friend singing to every song) but after the movie me n my friends were jumping around trying to do the Cell Block Tango Dance. I love chicago. great movie.

Did u see the preview for Duplex? I thought it looked so funny.

OMG! That came out today! God, time flies! No, I prolly woulda been all spazzing out about it if I didn't buy a screener a few months ago off Ebay. I'd be like, "MOM! TAKE ME OUT! I GOTTA GET CHICAGO!!!"

I still can't believe it's already out tho. Back in May it seemed like I'd be FOREVER!

I watched it tonight and just loved it. The singing, dancing and storyline were great. I could kick myself for not seeing it in the theater.
Renee Zelwegger deserved that Best Actress Oscar. She WAS the movie. Nicole Kidman was great in The Hours, but that was a trilogy, so I think Renee deserved it.

I disagree about the oscar thing, only because Nicole was robbed last year for Moulin Rouge, so im glad this year she got what she really shoulda got last year lol.. :)

I'm with you. It took me days to shake that movie. I adored it.

My friends and family thought I was nuts last year for almost obsessing over the movie, Unfaithful. I saw it at the theater 3 times, and on DVD at least 6 times.

We love what we love. To each his own I guess. :)

I bought the Chicago dvd the night it came out. It's great! I noticed some things in it that I never noticed in theaters. First of all..at the beginning when Fred Casely comes out of the bathroom, his boxers are kind of opening...*cough* and also in Cell Block Tango when Liz was with Bernie, Bernie was chewing gum. lol. What did you all think of "Class"? Ew. I didn't like it..I thought they could have done so much more with it but it just wasn't that great. Other than that I love this movie so much, it's my favorite movie of all time. Renee is a great actress. Roxie is pretty new to the whole show business thing, and unlike any actress on broadway, Renee was never a trained dancer or anything like that. So she was a lot like Roxie and played the part really well. Catherine Zeta Jones is great too, though I think that she should have been in the movie a lot more than she was, since Velma on broadway is on almost as much as Roxie. Richard Gere is a good Billy Flynn, though he'll never compare to James Naughton, he did a pretty good job.

If you all liked the movie, I highly recommend trying to listen to the broadway cast of Chicago, but even more, I recommend the London cast of Chicago (Ruthie Henshall as Roxie (she is the BEST) Ute Lemper as Velma, Henry Goodman as Billy..etc)

^ Click on "A Chicago Medley". That's from the London cast. lol, I'm a little Chicago obsessive and no one will probably listen to that but if you do it'll be great I'm telling you.

I love Chicago! It's the best movie and the best broadway show ever.

I'm not sure if that's new, I never saw Chicago in the cinema (our cinema got it 4 like 2 days!) but I bought a screener about 3 weeks after the film came out and watched it ALOT- and I noticed that a few times. Maybe the screener is also different to the cinema version. Also- when fred was scratching himself through the boxers in the bathroom, the first time I couldn't even see his hand cos Roxie was kinda in the way and I started laughing wodnering 'what's happening?!?!'

I was a bit dissapointed that there wasn't more features- but the screenwriter in the commentary said he'd like to put the audition tapes up on dvd one day- that's be great. The should've put an E!Behind the Scenes documentary on- E! made one for Chicago didn't they?

Maybe they should release it along with a performance of the show on stage on another dvd- just like when Lloyd Webber released a taping of the west end show on video.

Yeah I saw the movie twice in theater & i got it on DVD and I noticed the first time I watched it on DVD that the guy's boxers were open and now everytime i watch that scene I stare at it! It bugs me. I watched Class and I LOVE the song on the soundtrack, but I think they could've done so much more to the performance of it. I would've liked to see it in the movie, but I just think they could've done it better than sittinging chairs, but i guess since its not one of the more fast pace songs, there wasnt much to do. I think I'm gonna watch that Special doc. on the dvd today since I've seen the movie so many times now.

Wow! You must know every lyric by heart.
I watched Chicago again tonight, and loved it even more. I love that Razzle Dazzle one with Richard Gere.
Mr. Cellophane with Amos was sad.
I just LOVE CHICAGO!!

I don't really sing along to the movie much...I do to the London cast of the musical though :). Also, I haven't memorized the dance to I Can't Do it Alone yet, but I do know the Hot Honey Rag, lol. Probably because its about 23094830482 times slower than the musical's version..whoa. It goes so fast (you should all watch the medley and you'll see) and also the dancing is more complicated. I think they slowed down the music and changed the dancing around for Renee so that she could learn it easier. :p

I know that Catherine Zeta-Jones has a background in dance, but does Renee?
She did a wonderful job. She deserved the Oscar. :(

Renee was a cheerleader in highschool...but that's the only background she had. In "The making of Chicago" it said Catherine helped Renee out a lot.
