SECOND SEASON PREMIERE OF ABC TELEVISION NETWORK'S HIT COMEDY SERIES "8 SIMPLE RULES FOR DATING MY TEENAGE DAUGHTER" IS EXPANDED TO AN HOUR
Premiere of New Comedy Series "I'm with Her" Moves to Tuesday, September 30
The ABC Television Network has announced the expansion of the second season premiere of the hit comedy series "8 Simple Rules for Dating My Teenage Daughter." The series will now premiere with a special hour-long broadcast, TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 23 (8:00-9:00 p.m., ET).
This move delays the premiere of "I'm with Her" to Tuesday, September 30 (8:30-9:00 p.m., ET). The new comedy series from writers Marco Pennette (creator of "Caroline in the City") and Chris Henchy ("Spin City") is a romantic comedy about wish fulfillment and unexpected love, telling the story of an average guy (David Sutcliffe) who meets and begins dating a not-so-average woman - who happens to be a world-renowned movie star (Teri Polo).
"8 Simple Rules for Dating My Teenage Daughter" stars John Ritter as Paul Hennessy, Katey Sagal as Cate Hennessy, Kaley Cuoco as Bridget Hennessy, Amy Davidson as Kerry Hennessy and Martin Spanjers as Rory Hennessy. Tracy Gamble ("Home Improvement," "The Golden Girls"), who created the series, also serves as executive producer along with Flody Suarez ("The Tick"), Tom Shadyac ("Bruce Almighty," "Liar Liar," "The Nutty Professor"), and Michael Bostick ("Bruce Almighty," "Liar Liar"). "8 Simple Rules for Dating My Teenage Daughter," which premiered on September 17, 2002 and is filmed before an audience, is from Touchstone Television.
"I'm with Her" stars Teri Polo as Alex Young, David Sutcliffe as Patrick Owen, Danny Comden as Stevie Johannson and Rhea Seehorn as Cheri. Pennette and Henchy, who co-created the series, are the executive producers along with "Smallville's" Mike Tollin, Brian Robbins and Joe Davola, and Jack Burditt (award-winning writer, "Mad About You," "Frasier"). "I'm with Her," which is filmed before an audience, is from Tollin/Robbins Productions and Warner Bros. Television Production Inc.
