View Full Version : IN 2004, TV LAND Should Defintely pay a tribute to these Classic 1974 Sitcoms
TVFactFan 08-16-2003, 02:03 PM Good Times: Preimered Feb 8, 1974
Chico and The Man: Premeired Sept 13, 1974
Rhoda: Premeired Sept 9, 1974
Happy Days: Premeired Jan 15, 1974
Anyone Agree?
Brian 08-16-2003, 02:38 PM I think those sitcoms deserve a tribute. The only one I sort of disagree with is Rhoda but that is just my opinion. It was a good show to watch but to me, it's not up there with Happy Days, Chico and the Man, and Good Times.

SOLOMON - leave him alone. He's not the weirdo around here, YOU are.
Now . . . . . to your question.
I think only Happy Days should have a tribute and not the others. The others don't rank as high as Happy Days or ever will, IMO.

Learn to read, you miserable bitch. It says Brian. His name is Brian....he chose that screen name to fool dummies like yourself. I guess its worked so far...and he's not a weirdo because he disagrees. I personally disgree with that list also, except for "Happy Days." The other three aren't as popular, imo. They should have had a "Dallas" 25th Anniversary tribute this April, but of course they never thought about the powerhouse ratings that would bring.

Someone disagrees with you and you call them a weirdo. Mature. Very mature. Oh look, it's time for recess. You better go out and play now with the other kindergarteners.

If he disagreed then he should have not responded. I don't mind someone disagreing but if they do they can atleast offer what sitcoms they think TV LAND should pay a tribute to instead of just saying NO. I started the thread for intellignt discussion not one word answers.
Adamantium 08-16-2003, 07:31 PM Yes. I think TV Land should do something for these four sitcom. 1974 was a good year for starting sitcoms. "Happy Days" is probably the most popular of the four, but they were all well made sitcoms that deserve some credit.
However, I doubt they will. But it would be cool if they did.

 Oh, get over it. People aren't always going to say every single thing you want to hear.
treky 08-16-2003, 09:28 PM no, I don't think so. They were all good, with the exeption of "Rhoda" & "Happy Days/The Fonzie show" but not THAT good.
dandelion wine 08-17-2003, 01:22 AM Yeah, I agree.

Yeah, but Happy Days is always on and the others haven't been aired for awhile. It would give people a chance to see something different.
