I just rented this movie last weekend, and loved it! It stars Kevin Kline as a man diagnosed with cancer who tries to build a house, and reconcile his relationship with his disturbed son played by Hayden Christensen. This was an extremely touching movie. The only thing about it I didn't like was some of the sexual stuff in the film. Alot of it seemed completely pointless, and unnecessary to the story. Aside from that though, I thought this movie was great! Have any of you seen it?

Sounds like a nice happy movie :p

I like Hayden Christensen, and though I'm not allowed to watch R rated movies till I'm 17, I doubt that will be one I'm dying to see.

Yeah, it's really not for everyone. Even though it is very sad in parts, overall the film ends on more of a touching, and inspirational note, so atleast it's not all doom and gloom. Like I said in my original post, I just wish they would have kept the sexual stuff out. It seems like films these days always try to throw that crap in for some reason. Cheap thrills I guess. I would have given it four stars, but because of the sexual scenes, I only give it three stars. This film is definitely not for kids!

This was the nicest but saddest movie. Kevin Kline is such a talented actor. It was nice how he bonded with his son and became friends with his ex-wife.

The next time it airs on Starz, or another movie channel, I highly recommend you watching, or taping it. With you being a Kevin Kline fan and all, I'm sure you'll love it. Kevin, and the rest of the cast including Kristen Scott Thomas, and Mary Steenburgen do a wonderful job in this film!
