Everyone who visits this board is a Sanford and Son fan, so this comment may draw some fire. The final season of Sanford and Son was not good. The plots were lame brained and overly silly. Each person's entrance was followed with a long round of applause (that really got on my nerves). We would sit through 20 seconds of applause when Lamont walked in the room, a rap at the door, Lamont answers the door, Esther enters smiling at the camera, another 20 seconds of applause...ARRGH! That is so aggravating.

I agree with you 100%; it was really annoying when Lamont walked in and stood there, with a goofy grin on his face.
and the acting went down hill as well and the story lines. I think the 6th season of Sanford and Son was dull, even though I love the show.

I agree. There were a few good eps, but overall it completely sucked.

I can go along with that for the most part, but isnt it like that with most shows in there last couple seasons. I guess that the show in its greatness outlived itsself but in its prime it was some of the most creative and funny shows on television, and for that is is a CLASSIC.
