I loved that Arcade game & it came out right when the Simpsons were getting popular! It was made by Konomi... it was a four player game like the Ninja Turtles Beat em ups in the arcade... You had to save Maggie from Mr.Burns!! My friends & I would go to the arcade at the mall that is no longer around now to beat this game!! I miss arcades!!!Did they ever release this game for a game system... I always wanted this game but it never came out for anything!! This was one of the best video games of the Simpsons than that Bart's Nightmare or Virtual bart.... Anyone knows anything??

That was the best arcade game that was ever made. I remember playing it constantly at the movie theatre and at the miniture golf place.
Bart using his skate board, Lisa using her jump roap, Marge using the vacume cleaner and Homer using his muscles. Hillarious!
I remember after the first stage, you had to press the buttons over and over as fast as you could to blow up a big balloon in the shape of that Simpson character.
I remember my best friend and I almost beat that game. We had $15.00 in quarters and made it all the way to the final round against the last villain but we ran out of change.
What a great game! Loved it!

I used to love that game. The swimming pool down the road from my house used to have it in it's arcade, and me and my friends would go down there every day in the summer to play it.
I didn't play the arcade game very much, but I remember being semi-impressed that they were able to (sort of) re-create the opening sequence with a 16-bit limit.
As a kid, I owned the console games Bart Vs. The Space Mutants, Bart Vs. The World, and Bart's Nightmare. I wasted many precious hours on those games. Vs. The World was my favorite.

I think I only played the arcade game once. If I ever get enough money, I would buy it.
I remember playing Bart's Nightmare and Virtual Bart on my Super Nintendo. Those were two games that, no matter how many times I played them, I could not comprehend them. But then I was in elementary school at the time.
The franchise has been known to create godawful games. Like "The Simpsons Wrestling." That game was so bad that IGN.com gave it a 1.0. Gamespot.com also gave it a low rating. Terrible graphics and terrible gameplay for a PS1 game. My local Game Crazy had several copies at 14.99 each. I have never played this game before but for a game to reach below a 4.0 in most ratings, it is bound to be liked by only a small handful of people. (IGN's review can be found here. (http://psx.ign.com/articles/165/165035p1.html))
Another game that was given very subpar ratings was the PS2 release of "The Simpsons Skateboarding." That game has its fair share of flaws. (http://ps2.ign.com/articles/377/377862p1.html)
The Simpsons Road Rage is OK but it is one of those games that if you beat it, it'll most likely end up as a trade-in at your local Game Crazy or Gamestop or as an item to be sold on Ebay.
Yes there have been quite a few Simpsons games that have not fared well. Last September saw the release of a game that has gotten good reviews unlike most of its predecessors. That game is The Simpsons Hit & Run. It sort of plays like Grand Theft Auto III or Grand Theft Auto Vice City with obvious exceptions such as the violence. I'm thinking of renting it and trying it out sometime.
