The Family Television Awards are the only awards in which the members of the Association of National Advertisers -- major corporate marketers -- recognize outstanding programming for family viewing. The 44 major national advertisers that participate in the Family Friendly Programming Forum work to encourage the television community to produce more prime-time shows that families can view together.
2003 Family Television Award honorees included:

"In five years the Forum has accomplished a great deal, thanks in part to the ongoing support of the Association of National Advertisers and the rest of the advertising and television community. We have received thousands of letters from consumers strongly endorsing our achievements," said Andrea
Alstrup, Forum founder and Co-Chair, Corporate Vice President, Johnson & Johnson. "We heartily congratulate all of last evening's honorees. They are at the forefront of a powerful movement which is connecting with TV viewers of all ages."
"Last night we toasted a renaissance in television that began just five years ago. Family fare is quickly becoming a dominant force in primetime. The shows, producers and talent we honored should be proud of their accomplishments, but it is the American family that is the real honoree," said Kaki Hinton, of the Family Friendly Programming Forum Executive Committee and Vice President Advertising Services for the Pfizer Consumer Group.
The Family Television Awards Show will be produced by Dick Clark Productions for the fifth consecutive year.
