Im Back. Sorry i left so early in the Checkers Game Chad, but I was effected by that massive power outage which was sopposedly caused by a lighting striking Niagra Falls, which would have been perfectly logical if their was a storm in the area, their wasnt :grr:

Well we lost most everything hte the fridge, and to make it worse it was one of the hottest days this summer :grr:

I was up all night BAKING in the horrid heat until a break of dawn thunderstorm cooled us down :grr:

Their was no streetlights, no stoplights, not any power whatsoever in a 100 mile radious of me :grr: All the stores were black and SWAMPED with customers buying batterys and flashlights. Was even one store being so mobbed by people they could only let people in in groups :grr:
At night it was PITCH BLACK. The only light in my town was the stars and moonlight, we had a campfire since their was nothing else to do and the house was baking :grr:

Well the lights just came back about an hour ago. Finally after almost 24 hours :lol:
The Blackout hit about 7 ot 8 states. My county was under a Boil Water Advisory and a State of Emergency.

I Think EFD Got hit by it too, It said it hit New Jersey and he hasnt been on in the past day. Just about the only states in the Northern East coast it didnt hit were Maine and New Hampshire :lol:

It's really hot here. I called my mother at work and one of the drivers said that the rolling blackouts up here will be going on all night. They closed the State offices at 1pm and I got home after 2pm. We're supposed to get t-storms tomorrow.
