The background: Angel was created by producer Joss Whedon as a spin-off from the hit series Buffy The Vampire Slayer. It is a story of a once-evil vampire, cursed with a conscience, who has decided to make amends by helping people and fighting other vampires and demons who threaten to bring forth an apocalypse. It is set in the dark streets of Los Angeles, California, which to many would appear to be a trouble-free city. The action never ends as Angel and his friends battle vampires, demons, and other forms of evil.
