The title is self-explanatory. I wore glasses since 2nd grade and contacts since the end of 7th grade. :p You?

I've had glasses since 6th grade. I'm practically blind without them and I can't get contacts in. Something about having stuff come close to my eye and going in it doesn't fly well with me.

I used to wear glasses, but not anymore.

I am the only person in my family who has never had to wear glasses at any point in time. And that is a family of two parents, four sisters, and myself. My father got laser eye surgery years ago and he does not need them anymore. He still has several pairs of glasses in his night stand. :lol:

Glasses since 1989. :) I tried contacts in 1999, but that didn't fly with me. =/

I don't wear either. I have always had perfect vision!:)

Glasses in 6th grade. Where they are, I dont know- I have my case though. My left eye is pretty blurry compared to the right - my right eye is perfect. I choose not to get new glasses though. Ill pay for it when I get older.:o

I've worn glasses since I was like 5. I still wear 'em but I have contacts too....I just dont wear them all the time.

Glasses for a little over a year now. I actually only need them to read, or working on the computer, anything that has small words or print :)

Ive had glasses since 10th grade(had contacts before that but they hurt my eyes). I have horrible vision. If I take my glasses off i cant read the computer screen unless im like right up at it. Each time I go back for a check up they are a little worse.

Same here. I can only see about a foot in front of me, at most, before stuff starts getting blurry.

Glasses since God only knows. LOL. I only take them off to read; other than that I'm practically blind without them. I could never get contacts, the idea of having to put them in doesn't thrill me.

I used to. From age 18 to 26. Then I realized I didn't really need them. Left eye is 20/50; right is 20/500. When I look in the distance, I'm using my left eye. close-up vision is okay. (I do wear prescription sunglasses when driving during the day.)

Don't any of you believe the myth that not wearing your glasses will make you vision worse. I stopped wearing them in 1987 and the vision in my right eye actually improved a little (from 20/600 to 20/500).

I think wearing your glasses makes your vision worse. I know if I still had my original pair of glasses I wouldn't be able to see a thing out of them, my eyes keep getting worse and worse.

Thats how I am. I put my first pair of glasses on and it was like there was no lenses. Everything was still blurry.

I have contacts....greatest things ever.

I'm getting color contacts on Monday...my vision is fine though

My current pair is this really cute rectangle-ish, squarey glasses that's so popular (In 2013, I'm going to kick myself for wearing those glasses...:lol: ) - it's brown-toned with hints of gold here and there. :) Plastic frames, too. LOVE THEM. ;)

Contacts

I wear contacts like...all the time but I wear my glasses like...in the morning. These are my glasses...they look black in the picture but they're really Goldish Brown.

I've never had to have glasses.

No, lol, I probably would have gotten mine a year earlier if I wasn't so flinchy. I was lucky to actually get them in, and the worst part is is the eye doctor is sitting right there staring at you the whole time.:eek:

I've been wearing glasses from I was around 10- but I might give contacts ago soon. Medics are going to start testing (on humans) a gel which will improve eyesight- and if the formula is chnaged to work better it may even replace laser eye surgery. Hopefully this 'gel' wouldn't cost too much- then science can exploit peoples problems- how many laser operations need to be performed before they break even on the machine's price? Probably about 3.

None! I'm kind of surprised all my reletives either have near sightness or farsightness but me and my brother have never had eye problems

Glasses, but I only wear them to watch TV.

There is evidence that shows wearing glasses causes the eyes of some people to require stronger prescriptions after years of use.

I Used to have glasses when i was younger but stopped wearing them when i was around 10. I Do have reading glasses now though, My vision is perfect but i get headaches sometimes from reading.

I had Glasses when I was about 12 years old (ions ago) then my freshman year of highschool I switched to Contacts which is what i have now :)

Glasses since 4th grade. Right now they're tortoiseshell, but in high school, I had a red pair that reminded everybody of Sally Jessy Raphael -- no kidding. I keep getting asked if I want to switch to contacts, but I know exactly what's going to happen at least once a day: "OK, nobody step down! My contact popped out again!" :lol:

I've had glasses for about 4 months now. I didn't wear the during school though. I mostly need the see the board at school.

i have perfect 20/20 vision, which is odd because both my parents wear glasses and so does my sister.:cool:

I have really good vision, so no need for glasses.

On Saturday I was waiting to take the bus to go to the Auburn SuperMall to see "Tomb Raider II." I had bought my ticket a few hours before. So I hang around for a while downtown and go to the lounge at the Rainbow Cafe and decide to order a beer so I can have something to drink while I'm waiting and work on my screenplay assignment at the same time. So these two guys were sitting a few feet away watching a baseball game and they call me over and ask what the score is on the t.v. screen. There were actually two screens, a big screen t.v. and a small one. They insisted that I read the score on the SMALL screen, even though the game was on both. (Uh...okayyyyy....:confused: ) So I looked up at the screen to figure out which tiny numbers on the small screen was the score and before I could tell them, the one guy got all impatient and pissed off and said, "You got glasses on and you can't even read the screen??!!" So he was going off on me, so I decided I wasn't going to deal with these two. I decided I wasn't going to order anything while these guys were getting obnoxious and insulting me. So I went over to Safeway across the street and bought a Sobe. It took me a minute to figure out the reason why those guys were obnoxious--AND couldn't see the screen--was because they were drunk. Go figure.:rolleyes:

i just went to the eye doctors and found out i need rpescription contacts, i have 20/40 vision

Contacts irritate my eyes. I want to get lasik, but every doctor I've spoken to has advised me to wait until I'm twenty-five.
