So what stories have been confirmed for season 8 of KING OF THE HILL?
The ones that have been reported on
http://www.geocities.com/arlen_texas/upcoming.htm are:
- Boomhauer's brother Patch (Brad Pitt) shows up engaged to the only woman Boomhauer has ever loved (presumably Marlene, unless they've retconned it)
- MessiahFest, a Christian Rock festival, comes to Arlen. Gene Simmons plays a roadie for a Christian Rock Group.
- A washed-up and obnoxious former Dallas Cowboys player moves into the neighborhood.
- Various Country singers play singing truck drivers in a Christmas episode.
And Brittany Murphy said this in an interview that "I think this season Luanne moves back with the Hills and I think we'll see a lot more development of her character"
...but she didn't say if that was for one episode or if they're moving her back in permanently. I would guess that it's just for one episode, because while Luanne is missed (she annoyed Hank so much, and the core of the show is Hank getting annoyed), it wouldn't make much sense for her to move out of her own house, would it?
Anything else that's been reported in the press yet? (I guess Entertainment Weekly should have some more stories when they do their upcoming-season preview in September.)
