I am a HUGE Wendt fan but unfortunatly I nevergot to see the show. It only aired 7 episodes before being cancelled but I heard it was good. Has anyone ever seen it?

It couldn't have been that good if the show lasted from March 8, 1995 to April 19, 1995.LOL

Yeah, I remember the show. George played one half of a brother duo that hosted a radio call in show about auto repair. They also ran a garage.

Sorry to say it wasn't very good. I hate to say it but George will forever be known as Norm.

Well Cheers almost was cancelled after the first season, but since NBC had no other shows to play or coming on,they kept it on. And look what happened.:)

Short-Lived Sitcom Potpourri (XVI) (https://jacksonupperco.com/2023/03/01/short-lived-sitcom-potpourri-xvi/)

Thoughts: George Wendt (https://www.nytimes.com/1995/03/09/arts/critic-s-notebook-more-progeny-of-cheers.html)’s follow-up (https://books.google.com/books?id=pEN6sTeG20AC&pg=PA126&lpg=PA126&dq=%22The+George+Wendt+Show%22+1995+CBS&source=bl&ots=G7WTjk-lV3&sig=ACfU3U1skWpC_1qVmtzZ1IAg6BzEu_8F-Q&hl=en&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwiXv52q98b9AhVCkIQIHQdUDbw4PBDoAXoECAMQAw) to Cheers (https://www.baltimoresun.com/news/bs-xpm-1995-03-08-1995067124-story.html) puts him (https://www.washingtonpost.com/archive/lifestyle/1995/03/08/tv-preview/cf5be41b-36de-4fa9-a558-430839cfd396/) in (https://www.deseret.com/1995/3/8/19163231/wendt-isn-t-wonderful-wac-games-on-local-tv) another (http://culturecrossfire.com/forum/threads/nbcs-must-see-tv.15117/) workplace (https://www.spokesman.com/stories/1995/apr/10/cbs-planning-to-make-repairs-to-stalling-george/) and gives him (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_George_Wendt_Show) a brother (https://books.google.com/books?id=YX_daEhlnbsC&pg=PA385&lpg=PA385&dq=%22The+George+Wendt+Show%22+1995+CBS&source=bl&ots=R5DKhnSQ6t&sig=ACfU3U05R7cD3h9szJuerPuUKF7ZFakK2Q&hl=en&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwiXv52q98b9AhVCkIQIHQdUDbw4PBDoAXoECAIQAw) to inform the series’ central relationship — à la Wings and Frasier — but there’s none of that strong character work here. Specifically, there’s not enough (https://www.vulture.com/2014/08/1994-95-week-opening-essay-ratings-graphic.html) of a differentiation between the brothers, or even a precise pinpointable dynamic, to make that core bond interesting.
