I am watching my very first silent film that i have ever seen. Its with Greta Garbo.. ( Shes awesome!! ) . Its so different! But its really cool.. I dont know the title of it, but its on TCM... and I will find out for everyone. Has any one else seen silent movies?

I have a question.. how could they get music on there.. but no voice sound? *is confused LOL*.

I imagine that the music was added after the fact in relatively modern times. Probably in the initial release of the movie, the music came from a piano player in the theater.

There was an orchestra and conductor, or at least an organist(I'm pretty sure) at the theaters.

I saw most of 'The Harvey Girls' on TCM today- it was great, till I was interrupted!
TCM is a good channel but in the UK it never shows silent films- the only films silent are shown irregularly on terrestial tv at real early times of the morning (like 3 am) so the only silent thing I've seen was by Buster Keaton.

Buster Keaton is awesome!! he taught Lucy how to work with stage props.. he's so cool! I havent seen any of his movies yet though.

the only silent films ive ever seen are Tarzan of the Apes (1917) and Dr. Jekyl and Mr. Hyde (1923)
