Another TV sitcom couple who I thought had great on-screen chemistry was Paul Reiser and Helen Hunt on "Mad About You". They may not have been much in the "hot, steamy kiss" department, but I think that they had great comedy timing together, and they were very believable (and FUNNY) as a married couple, with hilarious "give and take" dialogue exchanges .
I know that "Mad About You" isn't everyone's cup of tea, but as long as we were mentioning on-screen sitcom couple chemistry, I thought that Paul and Helen's teaming was worth noting.

Mad About You is one of those shows that I liked when it was on the air, but I can't seem to get into the reruns. I agree, they did have good chemistry.
Another favorite TV sitcom couple of mine is Dave and Lisa from NewsRadio. They had great chemistry and were so funny together. Like Joe and Helen, they weren't your lovey-dovey couple. Sadly, Maura Tierney's talents are being wasted on ER now :barf:

Maura Tierney? Wasted? Seriously? ER's become the Abby show for the last 3 years. Chen, Romano, and Gallant are wasted. That show has got WAY too many regulars running around.

I meant wasted as in she can do so much better than that. I can't stand Abby. I think ER needs to get rid of a couple of characters (starting with Abby) and get rid of the soap opera storylines.

I guess it's me, but I just couldn't get back into ER after George left. I'll catch a few episodes here & there, but that's it. There was one episode I saw where, after a hard day at the hospital, Abby was drinking a beer with a neighbor when she got home, and I thought "Isn't she a recovering alcoholic?".

I've only seen ER once or twice in the George Clooney years. I don't watch it now, although I'm glad Maura Tierney is having success after five low-rated seasons on "NewsRadio."
I've only seen "Mad About You" a couple times and didn't really like it, although the actors did a great job. I just never got into the show. I agree about Dave and Lisa on "NewsRadio." I'm not sure if there is any fan of "NewsRadio" that was happy to see Lisa get married to the evil Johnny Johnson in the last season. And for non-NewsRadio fans, I didn't call Johnny Johnson evil because I didn't like him, but because his character really was evil.
