As a long time fan of The Lone Ranger, this episode has always been a favorite of mine. I know that John Hart played the Lone Ranger in this episode but I've always wondered if Clayton Moore was asked and turned it down or perhaps he wanted too much money? John Hart, played the Lone Ranger for almost 2 seasons during 1951-52. I believe Moore may have been in a contract dispute at the time.

Yeah, you would have thought that Clayton Moore would have appeared instead of John Hart, since everyone associated Clayton with being The Lone Ranger.
