I don't get the thing at the end of :THe Hair BRained Scheme" when Greg says you two (Marcia and Peter) will have to wait and see who gets my room. It would have rightfully gone to Marcia because whe was the next oldest they even said she would get it in other eps.

I think Marcia should get it, too. Peter never even showed an interest in the attic before that. Besides, Marcia was older and Peter would eventually have his turn.

Exactly! Cause If Peter took it then after his turn Marcia would've been in college so I guess then Jan would get it and then Marcia wouldn't get a turn. And I know she wanted a turn ;)

it should go to marcia
anyway Greg should have just taken the attic a long time ago in the episode "my son the man"

Marcia and Greg had a fight over the attic in the episode where they cleaned it out.

The agreement was that Marcia would get it the next year, after Greg went off to college. Each kid would get it in order of age.

Cindy commented at the end of the episode that she wouldn't get it "until the year 2000." Apparently, Cindy couldn't do math.

Ha! I was thinking the same thing!

As the "last" child, why in the world would Cindy even have to wait that long anyway? By the time the attic was vacant, the two kids' rooms would be all hers anyway.

IIRC she was doing the math on the board, writing down successive years, and she wrote every year down between the time and 1980 (six years after the show ended).

I think Cindy was exxagerating. Carol should have replied "I told you a billion times not to exxagerate!"

Actually Cindy said "It will be almost the year 2000!", typical kid think of how far off things seem to be.

I think all the kids wanted a turn in the attic. That way, the kids old rooms could be spare bedrooms.

Exactly. In Cindy's mind, as many kids minds, time is a far away thing.

I know, and Marcia had a fit because Greg got the nod because he was a year older, and Marcia said she was "sick and tired of being penalized" for being younger than Greg. In one of the "Why didn't the Bradys think of it" moments, how come Peter and Jan didn't speak up and say they didn't want to be penalized because of age either, and see how Marcia responds to that?

Well, Jan did speak her mind in the episode where she chanted those infamous words, MARCIA MARCIA MARCIA!! So at least in that instance, Marcia did get a feel of what Jan was feeling and in retrospect, Marcia got a dose of her own medicine when Greg got the attic instead of her. ;)

Mike could have just divided up the attic and put 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.

I don't think Mike would have wanted that kind of expense and headache. Putting in another bathroom in the attic would have meant plumbing issues, putting in pipes, etc. It is not an easy task. It was not worth it, especially just to satisy a child.
