Wow, what an episode! Mindy Cohn was so convincing, her tears seemed real. It was heartbreaking seeing her hurt and also her father begging to his "cookie" to forgive him. Does anyone know what happened to the Greens did they stay together..or did they get divoriced? I remember in the episode where Natalie finds out about her birth mother that Natalie went to her adoptive mother's house, (maybe her father was out of town...but you never know). That whats makes me think maybe they never made their silver wedding aniversary.

What does everyone else think and also your reaction to the episode?

They stay married 'till Nat's dad dies in episode #98.

I wonder if Mrs. Green ever found out... I mean, just because Nat knew doesn't mean she told her mom, and if he was smart, Mr. Green never mentioned his affair...

Just a thought.

Oh my gosh..I can't believe I forgot about that. I remember the episode..do remember what season that was? When he died?-ok already answered.

I don't know what she would have done? Would have it been best not to tell her mom, do you think that would have destroyed the marriage?

It was season five when Nat's father dies.

I absolutely loved the episode as well. Mindy Cohn was definitely able to drama very well. http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/smile.gif

For once in my life, I didn't move my eyes from the tv in a 30 minute episode. It was one of the better episodes that didn't have the comedic base to it. I also loved the conversation between Blair, Jo, and Natalie discussing divorces and how when Tootie came in who had the happily married parents she is the only optimist.
On a side note, did any DAYS fans notice who was playing Alan who Blair picked up?! That had to have been right before he started on DAYS (I seem to remember Bo and Hope starting in 83 from what I've read.) and he really hasn't aged that much, just a little grayer and much cuter!! It was hilarious seeing him play a rich snob.

I started wondering about that as well, whether or not Nat or Mr. green ever told Mrs. Green about the affair. My guess is that Mrs. Green probably never found out about it. But who knows? Maybe she just told her mom off screen but it was just never mentioned on screen again.

Now something completely off topic... I was looking at the episode guide recently and noticed something. The first two episodes of season 3 are "Growing Pains" and "Fear Strikes Back" Now at the end of "Growing Pains" didn't they get grounded at the end for like the next two months? But in the next episode they are coming home from some campus party... maybe their grounding didn't include on campus stuff? http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/wink.gif Oh well, just my mind working overtime! lol!

Too funny Abbey22. I totally agree. I sometimes think the producers and writers forget about the last episode or they expect the fans to.

On another topic does anyone know of any mistakes in the fol. I know Brady Bunch has quite a few. Wouldn't it be funny if FOL had mistakes on tape that you could purchase.

If you think of a mistake list it! Or any other things you might have noticed that just didn't jive!

Take care,
Amy

I really enjoyed this episode... I did notice the guy who used to play Bo on "Days Of Our Lives" like lesliem14 said! That was pretty cool...This whole episode was really good...Mindy was very convincing in my opinion too..

------------------
Jo:"Here's to those who wish me well all the rest can go to...Jersey!"

Jo: "You Promise? You Swear? I don't believe you!"

Hey guys! Don't forget that in the episode "Molly's Holiday" Natalie says that her parents got divorced, then when she had mono they got back together. Then they were living with each other and she said, "They may even get married!" Looks like another writing mistake!

------------------
Mr. Bradley: .....and that girls is the thrill of victory!

Tootie: Or the agony of DA FEET!

*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*

Natalie: I'm not jealous.....I'm wounded.

That was the episode from the first season where Molly is trying to get her parents back together.

I remember about Nat saying that. I like Molly's Holiday-it's the only episode that revolves around Molly.

Mindy Cohn's performance was lousy-as usual- in this episode- but the discussion you brought up was indeed extremely good, and I can speak from experience that that is what life can be like. Lisa Whelchel is a very good actress.

This was actually one of the few episodes that made me cry. Mindy's tears were so realistically messy that my heart broke. Most actors shed such tidy tears I don't always feel moved by them. Jo's famous tears are too tidy for me.

This is one of my favorite episodes of the early seasons just because Mindy Cohen pulled off when one of the most convincing performances I have ever witnessed. She must of been thinking something very emotional, perhaps something of a similar situation happened to her in her own life and she used that as a way to help bring the right amount of emotion and tears to this episode.
