Essentially, it sums up the story of a single mother who gave birth to a baby girl in 1962 only to find out that the baby had died.....or so she was told....turns out the baby might have been whsiked away and placed for adoption without the mother's knowledge.
I've seen a lot on US-big fan here-but nothing so sinister or heinous. Has anyone seen this segment? Have there been any updates? You would think that someone somewhere would have an answer to this. I want closure for the mother *and* I want whomever was involved with taking the baby to pay.
Never has a segment affected me this way. Anyone else see this and want so badly for it to be solved?

I remember that case and I agree that it was very disturbing. I don't think there has been an update.

njf I mean, this is driving me to distraction.I know this happened so long ago, but what about the doctors?nurses? staff? Surely someone who was there must still be kicking around....someone somewhere has to know what is going on here....it just infuriates me that this even happened...I just pray Lifetime will keep airing US ....maybe Ms.Thomas will get the answer she deserves!

I agree, Elvisfan, why aernt they actively pursuing this? Interviews with medical staff, etc???? I havent seen this segment in a long time (I'm fuzzy on the details)....WHEN did they discover that the young mom was probably lied to about her baby?

I think that DNA tests in 1996 confirmed that the child buried at the site wasn't her baby or the baby of the other woman who delivered that day.You can read the link I posted~it explains everything much better than I could.....There are also some articles on the internet about it...
I have no idea why it isn't being pursued. Maybe people think,"It's been so long...just let it go." Maybe the people who know about this are afraid to talk....Like I said, there has to be someone who knows what happened..Too many people from the doctor to the funeral director to hospital staff had a hand in this, imho...... I mean, yes, if it came out that the baby was adopted illegally and that child(now a woman) was tracked down, it would turn her life upside down, but if I were her I would want to know!
I just hate seeing someone hurt like that.Don't get me wrong-seing anyone get hurt on US bugs me, but for most of these people that's some kind of closure-good or bad-and they can move on. This lady doesn't even know *if* her baby lived or died....:(
