Does anybody here watch Inside The Actors Studio?
In the UK it's on Performance and Biography (it's hard to spot when it's on biography- it just lists the guests name, so you aren't sure if it's their biography on, or inside the actors studio)
and watch it whenever there's a new episode (they show alot of the same episodes) or an episode I really like (The Robin Williams one is hilarious).
More importantly- is anyone here part of The Actors Studio or somehow gotten into a taping of the show?

I think it's a great show. It's fascinating to hear the actors talk out of character, and tell about before they were famous, and how they got to be stars. I'd be interested if anyone says that he's actually in the Actor's studio, because only the tiniest fraction of the people who audition for it are accepted.

That's news to me- by the questions asked by students you can see they're smart- but some of them seem they're there by luck.
I wish i could see uncut actors studio footage- apparently James Lipton actually had to break up a session with Billy Joel because it went on till 3:15 in the morning, as well as Coppolla. I'd especially love to see all robin williams footage- apparently that 'scarf improv' lasted 15 minutes, on the show it's about 5 minutes- and there isn't enough footage of students asking questions
I love this show and the questions asked- but beware of the little blue trivia cards....

I'd like to see that, too. I try to catch this every day, and I love it. You never know what you're going to see or hear from the actors he has on stage.

I just saw Mary Tyler Moore on inside the actors studio, it was a great episode and now I want to go and read her book.
James Lipton also has a book (it's unrelated to the actors studio- but I'm keeping my fingers crossed). Hopefully we'll see Lipton do some comedy acting some day (he's like the serious guy jokes bounce off- but he is funny himself- besides he is perfect to play Satan)
People don't understand why I watch it- but it's the only interview show not about juicy gossip.
