OK, here's the scoop...

I was flipping through other message boards on this site, and came to the one on "General Sitcom Questions and Discussions." I noticed a post called "FOL released on video," or something like that. There is a posting by someone that says he has spoken directly with Columbia House, and they DO plan on releasing the videos of TFOL sometime in February. He posted a telephone number, which I am assuming is a customer service line, to call and confirm this. The number is:

1-800-457-0866

I suggest anyone call and find out the scoop. TJ, our moderator, posted a few times on that post as well, so I'm hoping he will see this and comment as well.

A couple things, though. There was discussion about the number of episodes and number of tapes. Only a few of the collections had ALL episodes -- most just do four shows per tape, and anywhere from 10-20 tapes in the set. So, who knows what they will do.

I just thought it might be interesting to note, but like I said, I'm not 100% positive. It's just what I read on another post.

Most likely guys, you will only get 10 volumes. I am a member of their "Airwolf" club right now and i'm telling you Columbia House VERY RARELY releases anything past 10 volumes. Unless everybody in the world (Literally!) orders TFOL from CH on VHS, don't count on anymore than 10 volumes! Trust Me

I hope you are mistaken. That would be depressing indeed if it's only 10 volumes. On the other hand, I don't remember if it was CH, but whoever release All in the Family released quite a few volumes.

Yeah, I mean I've taped something like 170 episodes so far, and I would be perfectly happy with 40 good, uncut episodes. I would think that my other taped episodes would be ok after that, I don't think I could afford a whole series anyway. Unless maybe I give up something else like eating for a while. I'll take what I can get, I just hope they're selective about which 40 they release and they don't just go in order. I'm hoping for more of a "best of" kind of thing.
