There are 252 episodes of Bewitched but I have one favorite: The Short Happy Circuit of Aunt Clara. That episode is a classic. I thought it was hilarious. In that one, Aunt Clara blacks out all the lights on the entire Eastern Seaboard. Her old friend Ocky comes and he manages to keep the lights in the Stephens' house on by raising his arms up. When Sam, Darrin, Larry Tate, and a client come to the house, Clara stashes him into the closet. Darrin opens the door and you see a pair of shoes walking out the door. That gives the client (who runs a shoe business) an idea for an advertisement.

Love that episode. Classic Aunt Clara.

My top three (I can never name just one), would be "Charlie Harper, Winner," "A is for Aardvark," and "Business, Italian Style." Charlie Harper, Winner and A is for Aardvark for the amazing Sam/Darrin stuff and the chemistry between Liz and Dick, and Business, Italian Style for proof that Dick York was the best comedic actor ever. :eyes:

My favorite Bewitched ep is the one where "Uncle Arthur" is first introducted......LOL that one was very funny! :lol:

From what I have seen of the 254 episodes of the series, these are my favorites:

#001 - "I, DARRIN TAKE THIS WITCH SAMANTHA"
Very much in love, Samantha and Darrin decide to marry. Darrin doesn't know that Samantha is, of all things, a witch. On their wedding night, Samantha's mother, Endora, also a witch, visits her daughter with the ulterior motive of breaking up the marriage. Samantha is then subjected to a humiliating dinner party at the home of one of Darrin's former girlfriends.

#014- "SAMANTHA MEETS THE FOLKS"
Darrin's parents pay their first visit to the Stephens home. Determined to help Samantha make a hit with her in-laws, Aunt Clara uses her witchcraft to whip up a feast for dinner. Darrin's mother feels pushed aside by Samantha's incredible household talents. But when she realizes it's Aunt Clara's doing, she knows she is going to love her daughter-in-law.

#029 - "ABNER KADABRA"
Gladys Kravitz catches Samantha twitching her nose to rearrange pictures on a wall. To keep Gladys from spreading the news, Samantha convinces her that she has ESP. Gladys starts using her supposed powers on Abner, with disastrous results.

#054 - "AND THEN THERE WERE THREE"
Samantha has a baby girl. Trouble begins for Nurse Kelton when Endora names the baby Tabitha. Samantha's cousin, Serena, who resembles Samantha, visits the hospital. Shortly after, Endora carries the baby from the nursery. Finding the baby missing, Darrin is sure Endora's magic has been at work and Serena is his daughter, grown up.

#061 - "THE HORSE'S MOUTH"
A horse named Dalleyrand escapes from the horse trailer of Jack Spindler, in front of the Stephens home. Unable to talk to the horse, Samantha turns her into a woman named Dolly. Dolly tells Samantha she has been forced to set a fast pace and tire the horses out so her sister, Adorable Diane can win.

#070 - "MAN'S BEST FRIEND"
Darrin plans a celebration because Samantha hasn't used witchcraft for almost a month. Then Rodney, a neurotic warlock, appears. Expressing his love for Samantha, he demands that she run away with him.

#078 - "ACCIDENTAL TWINS"
Aunt Clara babysits for Tabitha Stephens and Timothy Tate when their parents go to the theater. She entertains the babies with magic and suddenly Timothy becomes twins, and Aunt Clara can't remember how to undo the spell.

#089 - "A GAZEBO NEVER FORGETS"
Samantha tells Aunt Clara she plans to get a bank loan in order to tear down the gazebo and build a rumpus room. A loan-officer comes to appraise the house, only to see Tabitha playing with a live, polka-dotted elephant.

#090 - "SOAPBOX DERBY"
Samantha helps 12-year-old Johnny Mills with his Soap Box Derby Race. Fearing his father's disapproval, Johnny has secretly built his racer and asks Samantha's help in getting his father to sign the entry blank.

#092 - "HOHO THE CLOWN"
Darrin's client, the Solow Toy Company, sponsors HoHo the Clown on TV. Samantha and Endora take Tabitha to the studio to see the show. HoHo announces all the prizes in the HoHo Hope Chest will go to the holder of the lucky badge-but Tabitha is ineligible because she's related to Darrin, so Endora hexes HoHo.

#096 - "THREE WISHES"
After Darrin tells Samantha he wishes he weren't going to Hawaii on a business trip without her, Endora feels he's up to something and gives him three wishes to prove it. At the office, Darrin's wish comes true when he learns that Larry is going to Hawaii instead.

#119 - "SAMANTHA'S THANKSGIVING TO REMEMBER"
Aunt Clara longs to see her Pilgrim friends on Thanksgiving day. She pronounces a spell and zaps the Stephens family, Gladys and herself back to 17th Century Plymouth.

#133 - "PLAYMATES"
Samantha warns Tabitha against using witchcraft, but she doesn't understand. Mrs. Stephens takes them to visit Gretchen Millhowser, so Tabitha can play with little Michael. Michael bullies Tabitha, so she turns him into a bulldog.

#137 - "SAMANTHA'S SECRET SAUCER"
Aunt Clara is minding Tabitha who is playing with a flying saucer. The toy flies outside and Aunt Clara tries to bring it back. Unfortunately she has zapped up a real spaceship and she can't shrink it.

#143 - "SAMANTHA ON THE KEYBOARD"
Endora buys Tabitha a toy piano and uses witchcraft to make her play like a virtuoso. When Darrin disapproves, Samantha accepts his challenge to learn the piano without witchcraft.

#149 - "SAMANTHA FIGHTS CITY HALL"
Samantha finds that a neighborhood playground, leased to the city for $1 a year, is to be razed for a supermarket. Darrin encourages Samantha to organize a protest, until he learns that a big client owns the land.

#160 - "MRS. STEPHENS, WHERE ARE YOU?"
Darrin's mother arrives while Cousin Serena is minding Tabitha. Resenting Mrs. Stephens' catty remarks about Samantha and her family, especially Uncle Arthur's sherry nipping, cousin Serena turns her into a cat.

#165- "SAMANTHA'S POWER FAILURE"
Endora brings an order from the Witches' Council that Samantha give up Darrin. As Endora warned, Samantha loses her magic when she refuses. Uncle Arthur and Cousin Serena, pledging their loyalty, also lose their powers. They assure Samantha they'll do fine as mere mortals and get jobs to prove it, with mixed results.

#172 - "SAMANTHA'S YOO HOO MAID"
Endora insists Samantha needs a maid and produces Esmeralda. But Samantha is dubious about Esmeralda, who fades out when she gets nervous.

#174 - "SAMANTHA'S CURIOUS CRAVINGS"
Samantha discovers that food pops in when she just thinks of it. Endora summons Dr. Bombay who pronounces Samantha cured after he treats her. However, something has gone awry with the treatment and Samantha suddenly finds herself popping out to wherever the food is.

#175 - "AND SOMETHING MAKES FOUR"
Although Samantha is calm, collected and waiting with suitcase in hand to go to the hospital to give birth, Darrin is having major complications, complicated further by the appearance of Maurice.

#222 - "DARRIN GOES APE"
Samantha's cousin, Serena, turns Darrin into an ape. Gladys and Abner see the ape and call the police.

#246 - "SAMANTHA ON THIN ICE"
Tabitha is invited to a skating party but doesn't know how to skate. Samantha takes her to the skating rink for lessons and promises Darrin that Tabitha will learn in the mortal way, but Endora intervenes.

#248 - "TABITHA'S FIRST DAY AT SCHOOL"
Sam and Darrin decide they must enroll Tabitha in school. Sam takes Tabitha to Miss Vogel's 2nd grade class, and Tabitha turns the class bully into a frog.

"Twitch or Treat"...classic Halloween episode with Elizabeth Montgomery's most beautiful moment in that sensational black dress!!!!!

"The Happy Short Circuit of Aunt Clara", another superb Clara episode..hilarious

"Sam's Spooky Chair".. a real favourite of mine, seeing Dick York fighting with the chair in the doorway is one of the funniest moments on Bewitched.

"The Corn Is As High As A Guernsey's Eye"... another stunner for Aunt Clara and great work between her and Dick York

"I Remember you..Sometimes" ..priceless Dick York episode when he gets "total recall" courtesy of Endora

"Charlie Harper, Winner" ...I think a fav of everyone, beautiful moral lesson played superbly by Dick and Elizabeth.

"It's Wishcraft", ... a real fav of mine ,Mabel Albertson's finest turn as Phyllis

"Business italian Style"...wonderful showcase for Dick York and possibly one of his finest half hours on the show

"Cheap Cheap", priceless "stingy Darrin" episode, the scene with the flagon of cheap wine still breaks me up!

"Allergic To Macedonian Do Do Brids"..classic Endora in possibly her finest performance at her wicked best

"Solid Gold Mother in Law"....another priceless Endora, her "portrait sessions" are hilarious.

"Humbug Not To Be Spoken Here", ..my sentimental fav as I love all the Christmas episodes

"Once In A Vial"... Hilarious episode with Endora almost "marrying" Darrin's client under the spell of a love potion, Aggie is so funny in this one


"If They Never Met".. an unusual episode that is different and filled with wonderful sentiment

"Samantha's Secret Saucer"..Classic Clara mix up again,Dick York's reaction to the alien woofing at him is priceless

"Mirror Mirror On the Wall"... my fav Dick York episode. The sight of him in that gold lame suit still breaks me up...totally hilarious

"Battle Of Burning Oak"...another fine discrimination episode I love the bitchy lunch Samantha has with the women at the club


"Daddy Does His Thing"..the saddest episode of the series, a bit ordinary but it preserves Dick York's tragic last moments on the series... a wonderful tribute to that sterling man

Part Two now of my favourites list, this time from the Dick Sargent years but I have to admit I'm scratching here a little compared to the York years.

"Samantha's Curious Cravings"...what an original idea to have Samantha going to whereever the food is while pregnant as opposed to the food being zapped to her, a very original episode

"And Something Makes Four"...couldn't hold a candle to Tabitha's birth but still funny and a great performance by David White even trying to make money out of Adam's birth!!

"Samantha's Lost Weekend"..a funny one and the sight of Samantha attacking that whole lettuce is priceless

"Paul Revere Rides Again"..wonderful episode which is like something straight out of the best Dick York years. Greatly aided by Jonathon Harris as Sir Leslie and dynamic Bert Convy as Paul. Sam's speech at the Revere Monument is classic "Bewitched" at its best

"The Corsican Cousins"..one of my fav later episodes. Samantha's drunk/crying scene, (imitating everything Serena does) at the afternoon tea for the ladies is hilarious.

"Sisters at Heart"..classic "Bewitched" with a wonderful Christmas story and Larry Tate's finest moment on "Bewitched"

So there it is!!!!

All great episodes but my personal favorite is "The Crone of Cawdor". What was at first another episode of Endora's trying to get Sam worked up about Daren being with a beautiful client turned into an actual and at times creepy suspense thriller. There was cliffhanger scene when Larry tells Sam he was disconnected while on the phone with Daren. Sam, fearing the worse that Daren fell under the crone's curse, was really fearful before the commercial break.
Of course, the usual laughs are there too, but this episode seems to stand out for me.
