View Full Version : Favorite Assistant DA? dlemond 08-08-2003, 12:37 PM Who was your favorite amongst the carousel of ADAs that have been a part of Law and Order? Brian 08-10-2003, 07:27 PM Abbie Carmichael. I also liked Robinette. Did anybody know that Robinette returned to the series for one episode after being let go and played an attorney defending a kidnapping suspect? BrandonS 08-11-2003, 01:15 PM Jamie was a doll, so I voted for her, but Robinette was kind of cool, so he almost got my vote. dlemond 08-11-2003, 01:27 PM Originally posted by Brian Abbie Carmichael. I also liked Robinette. Did anybody know that Robinette returned to the series for one episode after being let go and played an attorney defending a kidnapping suspect? Yeah, I saw that one- the episode was called "Custody" from the 6th season. Robinette was a great ADA. Jamie Ross also returned to play an attorney in 2 episodes, once in the 10th season (episode "Justice" )and then again in the 11th season (episode "School Daze") Here are TV Tome summaries: Custody Episode Number 125 First Aired February 21, 1996 The killing of a social worker exposes a scam concerning foster children, coinciding with a young black woman kidnapping her biological son from a white couple with whom he'd been placed, and bringing former ADA Paul Robinette into conflict with his former colleagues. ________________ Justice Episode Number 210 First Aired November 10, 1999 McCoy is beside himself when former colleague Jamie Ross returns as a defense attorney to represent a previous client, who has key evidence concerning a prisoner on death row. __________ School Daze Episode Number 251 First Aired May 16, 2001 When a massive school shooting occurs, one student is singled out as the prime suspect due to a threatening email received by the Student Council president. Jamie Ross returns to defend the defendant and his mental state. EricIdlefan 10-14-2003, 11:59 PM Jamie was a b*tch!! Robinette can be cocky but means well!! Abbie was kind of b*tchy but became sympathetic during the end of her run on the show!! Claire is my all-time favorite. She was more human, though she had her days, of course!! Serena is ok but I prefer her anyday over Jamie and Abbie!! marvin g 10-15-2003, 11:43 PM I liked Abbie, she had a sexy but authoratative voice. Jaime was mean but her ex-husband was a a-hole so she can be accused. Claire and Serena are just o.k. Robinette: I was upset that they never let him try a case when he was a regular. cablejockey 10-18-2003, 04:19 PM My favorites were Robinette---where is he now?--and Claire. Wasnt her character killed off when she spent the night trying to get Lennie and McCoy out of a bar? marvin g 10-22-2003, 10:36 PM If I remember correctly she was driving home with Lennie in the passenger seat and they got side swiped by a truck. I don't remember if Lennie was drinking because of his past alcohol problem but McCoy was drinking but didn't leave with them. EricIdlefan 10-29-2003, 10:23 PM I don't believe in hitting women but if I had to choose, I would give Jamie a black eye and Abbie a fat lip!! dlemond 11-07-2003, 04:05 PM Originally posted by marvin g If I remember correctly she was driving home with Lennie in the passenger seat and they got side swiped by a truck. EricIdlefan 11-11-2003, 02:22 PM To be honest, I like Jill Hennessy as Jordan because even though Claire was sympathetic & caring, she was buttoned down and uptight!! Devon King 12-15-2003, 10:03 PM Pardon me for jumping shows in the L&0 franchise for a moment... while I can make a case for Abbie ("No deals! Hang 'em all!") Carmichael -- I've just got to go with Alexandra ("Your honor, he wouldn't be a single parent if he hadn't murdered his wife!") Cabot over on Special Victims Unit. EricIdlefan 12-22-2003, 03:23 PM I like Alex too and miss her but her replacement is a b*tch!! Devon King 12-27-2003, 04:55 PM ADA Novak really isn't quite making the cut, is she? I think I'm biased because I remember when she played a perp on SVU -- it was a particularly seamy episode that centered around a man being sexually assaulted by three women. That time around her character was one of the bad guys -- it wasn't a big role -- and she did a better job in that part. I'm trying to give her the benefit of the doubt and hoping the writers will find a tone for her character. As it is now, she seems to just be speaking the words ... not a lot of acting going on. Then again, they could just bring back Cabot... ! MariposaLKB 01-30-2004, 10:05 PM ...between Claire and Abbie. Both good and tough and smart--yet with real emotions. (Not to mention being the most attractive IMHO!) Jamie was a bit too cold for my taste. Paul I also liked simply cuz of my attraction to men of color, but again, too stiff. As for Serena, I feel like saying "Serena who?" LOL! And yes I agree it is taking a while for Novack to hit her stride, and sometimes I do miss Alex. But OMG I don't remember that re Diane Neal (who plays Casey) being a perp in that episode! EricIdlefan 02-03-2004, 04:33 PM Robinette should had tried a case but Stone did all the talking!! Claire was the best and even though she had her moments, she was caring and sympathetic. Jamie was a b*tch and if she was in my face, she would get a fatlip from me!! Abbie was sexy and attractive but needed work on her human being skills!! Great lawyer but lousy human being. Serena is fine no matter what you people say and I would take her over Abbie and Jamie anyday, anytime, all the time!! Miss Alex!! She and Captain Cragen had an alliance together and Casey is someone who needs a fatlip!! Rhiannon 04-10-2004, 12:43 PM Abbie! lonelinesshurts 04-25-2004, 04:12 PM Abbie!!! She's the only one that knows how to handle Jack |
