View Full Version : I found this interesting...
#1_Nancy_McKeon 08-07-2003, 05:16 PM I was looking through tvguide.com ... Seeing what reruns are going to be coming on of The Division, and 1-800-Missing summary came up also, and it had the whole summary of the episode they'll be airing and at the end it says, "So far, the show lacks the dramatic punch of Lifetime's other detective series, The Division, and the plots are predictable, but the talented Reuben is always worth watching." They're comparing it to The Division. Gloria Reubon vs. a fantastic cast like that of The Division- seriously... what do they expect? I could have predicated this they have one night in television (Sunday) where their ratings (Thanks to The Division & Strong Medicine) go high... They wanted another day so they add a Detective show to maybe mimic the success of The Division? I read some stuff awhile back before they actually picked 1-800-Missing & Wild Card for their new drama series. The Pilots they had as 'maybe' all had something to do with police work. Apparently that's not working out so well.... They're showing the hell out of Wild Card & 1-800-Missing.
Jeanie 08-07-2003, 06:28 PM Yeah I mean Wild Card was okay not something I would tape or have to be home to watch like I do the Division but I don't want it shoved down my throat either. That is irritating and makes me not want to watch at all.
Hershey 08-07-2003, 10:26 PM I thought the promo's for both of the shows sucked so I am not wasting my time to watch them. I thought 1-800-Missing was going to mimick The Division also. It dumb what Lifetime is trying to pull.
I don't think they will be able to duplicate the success of TD with another cop show. It just won't happen.

Michele35 08-08-2003, 08:47 AM Puhleeze! TD is the only original Lifetime show I'll be watching and that is only because of the remarkable cast.
InspectorExstead 08-08-2003, 11:14 PM today they showed the sixth encore of the two episodes. i personally don't care for them, but showing them twice was enough, now, instead of showing one of their movies that i love, they are re-airing these two episodes way too much. they must be really terrified that it won't get good ratings. but, who could blame that, after all, for the people didn't exactly have booming ratings.

I know how you feel, they pre-empted a movie on Tuesday that I really wanted to see to show them.I hope they settle down!!!!!
Laney 08-09-2003, 02:54 PM I didn't mind an one encore even though it took Strong Medicine. But six? Thats too much.
Swimfan85 08-09-2003, 08:45 PM I watched Wild Card and thought it was pretty good
TDfan69 08-09-2003, 09:20 PM yeah, I liked Wild card, but not 1-800. I just hope that Lifetime doesn't keep pre empting to movies to keep showing us the same eps over and over......

InspectorExstead 08-09-2003, 11:57 PM Again...with the re-runs. Wild Card's okay, not exactly Lifetime drama, but whatev. 1-800-missing, seems like they're trying to copycat td, to be sure it goes well, which I don't like. It wasn't very interesting. And they showed an encore presentation of the two, again. But, they said they'd show What Should You Do at it's regular time next week. i hope this following week, like the last, isn't flooded by re-runs of the two shows.
bananasplit 09-13-2003, 05:01 PM I watch Wild Card on Saturday nights. I do think it is a good show. I do agree that they should show reruns of Wild Card and 1-800-Missing so many times. They should show the Divsion and Strong medicine during the week
nancyrulz 09-13-2003, 06:50 PM Ok I admit I watch both 1-800 Missing and Wild Card and I do like them, but NONE of them even come close to The Division!

yes, I've been watching them too, and I do like them, both of the shows. of course, they're no match to the division. i'm glad lifetime's reduced the number of re-runs to only two per week. ;)
nancyrulz 09-14-2003, 10:31 AM Tell me about it, I got so sick of hearing about those shows and showing them like, 4 times a week or whatever. We need more Division!
