Dawnn & Glynn's marriage wasn't believable to me. I didn't like them being together cause he was too old for her. Col. Taylor was funny though & he was a good father to Terrance. Terrance was so goofy. Dawnn Lewis & Sinbad made a better couple. Dawnn is attractive to me. Did ya'll see her in the movies School Daze, I'm Gonna Git You Sucka, The Wood?

I did not like them being together either. I liked her better with Walter. Why did Sinbad leave?

How did those two get together anyway? what happened with them that they became interested in each other. I did like Sinbad and Dawn together but I preferred them to be friends once I saw their relationship after the break-up

I don't even remember how the got together. All I remember is them getting married and the next she was pregnant.:confused:

I think they went on a vacation or something, and they ended up dating and getting married! It happened on a new season of that show (the season that came back on AFTER Walter left)! I didn't really like her going w/Walter myself, but I didn't think her and Colonel Taylor looked right together either!

I agree, it was a awkward coupling!

I totally agree with you isiahthomas, actually on one of the post about 'who was the worst pairing' or something like that, I ranted and raved about how much I loathed these two together and how much I liked her better with Walter. By the way I have seen School Daze and The Wood, I loved School Daze and I wish I could find that on dvd (if it is even on dvd), The Wood was good, but I'm not rushing out to get it to make it part of my collection, I guess that scene when Taye Diggs threw up kind of turned me off.

To me,they had nothing in common to bring them together.I think it was just a little contrived way for the writers to have another couple.

CCRYDER1968, you hit the nail on the head. Their relationship was contrived and them forcing a baby into the picture just made it worse. IMO, that relationship ruined the character of Jalessa, she went from being an independent business savvy woman to being just another typical housewife (I'm not dissing housewives, I'm just saying Jalessa didn't seem like the housewife type). If they were so desperate for another relationship on the show, they could have waited and hooked up Col. Taylor and Jennifer Lewis' character Dean Davenport (I think that's what her character's name was). Also what didn't help was the fact that Dawn left the show in the 6th season anyway making the pairing even more pointless.

I was wondering if they married Jaleesa off because Dawnn Lewis was pregnant in real life? I don't know if she was or not, but she was pregnant on the show for just about all of year 5. Plus other than the Valentine's Day date there was no clue that I recall of them having any interest in each other at all.
