I am a big dog person. I have a Collie-Chow mix and I just love her. She is 9 years old but she has the heart of a puppy. When I get my own place several years from now, I'll get myself a few dogs. The one dog I know I'm going to get is a Basset Hound. I think those dogs are cool. What breeds of dogs do you like? Here are dog breeds that I like and when I get my own place, I'll have a few of them but surely not all of them!

American Bulldog
American Foxhound
Basset Hound
Beagle
Bloodhound
Boston Terrier
Boxer
Bulldog
Collie
Dalmation
Doberman Pinscher
English Foxhound
English Mastiff
Great Dane
Greyhound
Harrier
Italian Greyhound
Lurcher
Pug
Saint Bernard
Viszla
Whippet

The first dogs I remember having were a Labrador (I can't remember her name) and a Golden Retriever named Ginger. Unfortunately, the Labrador kept jumping over the fence into our next door neighbor's yard and Ginger wasn't a very good dog. In the late 1980s, we got a small Boston Terrier named Jessie. My father called him Buttface. I remember my mother telling me that one day, there was this radio station that had a contest in which the person who answers a question right gets a free bag of dog food for their pet. He won. When asked what our dog's name was, he replied, "Buttface." He was a great puppy from what I remember but he had a big separation anxiety problem. My parents were sometimes out of town on weekends and there would be nobody to watch me or my sisters. That meant Jessie would have to be left alone. He would pitch fits and destroy the house. I remember in first grade, I told my mother one day, "I want a new dog." Then, either the next day or several days after, I came home and saw a big Great Pyranees (sp?) named Brutus. For years I thought that she got Brutus because I said I wanted a new dog but one day, several years ago, I learned the truth about Jessie that I never knew or remembered. Brutus was not really any better behaved than Jessie. He was not very housebroken and he would slobber and slobber. He was one big slobber machine. Anyways, he was a massive dog. One day my parents decided to sell him to a family that had a Great Pyranees. I never heard anything about him again until years later when I found out that after we had given him to that family, he had died of unknown causes. Afterwards, my parents vowed never to get a dog as big as Brutus again. I was talking to my mother about Brutus one night and she said to this day she could not figure out why she or my father would get a dog such as him. We were dogless for several years until the summer of 1996. I had just graduated from elementary school. We went to a humane society and got a 2 year old dog who was a then-unknown breed. Her name was Lady. We just fell in love with her and she was very well-trained. We got her and later that night I made a startling discovery. She had ticks. Luckily we got that taken care of. We have had her ever since. My neighbors over the years have had cool dogs. A neighbor that used to live across the street from me had a very big Doberman Pinscher named Max. He was big but he was very sweet. My next door neighbor had a weinerdog Dauchshund named Charlie whom they kept for years before it developed health problems. Some time after we got Lady, they got a Jack Russel Terrier named Maggie who later on had a puppy they named, Cleo. Both of them, especially Cleo, are basically big dogs in a small body. I took care of them several times while my neighbors were on vacation. I love them but my parents can't stand them. In fact, they call them "The Jack Russell Terrorists." My neighbor from across the street got a short-haired Dauchshund named Millie around January 2001. A neighbor that lives two doors away from me has four dogs the last time I've heard.
I'll post pictures of my dog later on. If you have a dog or used to have dogs, please share your stories and experiences and post pictures if you can.

I have an adorable Cocker named Bo, but I call her Doo Doo; she is eight years old and very shy around strangers, but is very loyal to her owners.
Cockers are great with small children and the breed has a good rapport with cats.:dog:

Aww, Brutus is a very beautiful dog. :)

I'm more of a cat person but since i had to put Dizzy down and i had to give Beauty away cause she was mean i don't want anymore cats. So now we have 4 dogs.

Chica is my mom's 8 year old Fox Terrier/chihuahua. (That dog loves my mom so much. We got her because some freak fed her rat poision and threw her in a dumpster and my aunt rescued her and gave her to us. Shes a good dog, but she does not like people much. My aunt also has her brother, Cookie, who she's had for 8 years also. But Chica loves my mom, she sleeps with her and when my mom leaves she starts crying. They have a very special bond. :))

Then i have a 3 month old puppy, i got him for my birthday, His name is Joe-Joe and he's part Catahooula hound and German Shepard. He used to stay inside, but he is getting so big, so now he has to stay outside. He's very beautiful, his fur is white with black spots and he has a half green, half blue eye, and his other eye is fully green.

And i have 2 new puppys that a friend gave me on the 4th of July. They are chihuahua, Daschound mix. Their names are Mickey and Max.

Soon as i can, i'll post pictures of them.

Everyone's dogs are so cute! :)

I'm a big dog lover.. they're my favorite, especially German Shepards, Boxers, Doberman Pinschers, Collies and Toy Fox Terriers. I have a 5 year old German Shepard. She's one of the friendliest dogs I've ever had, not to mention the sweetest.

im a big dog lover.i have a 2 dalmation and bull terrier mixes their both 8 years old but still act like puppys.when i grow up and move out of the house i really want a german shepard and beagle i think they are so cute. when i was little like a baby my parents and 2 brothers had a border collie named denver i dont really remember him tho, but i heard from my parents that he was really a good dog, he would sleep on your lap.but my dad sold him to a family i dont know why.
Then after that we got a dalmation when i was 4 my dad named her harley. she was really sweet but she was way too hyber i mean she would run around and hit her head. She grew up faster then me she was bigger then me and i got scared of her, so my dad sold her to a lady now she has puppies.
So you know when i was 5 our neighbors dog had puppies i got the runt i called her patch cuase her spot looked like a patch then my brother picked out the boy he called him chance cuase of the movie homeward bound. We still have them.
when i was 10 my dad and i got a lab retreiver pup my dad named him hunter. He was very sweet chance kept on fighting with him and he messed up the yard,so we sold him to a family with little kids.I still kind of miss him.Well thats all the dogs i had.
my neighbor too the right of us have a rodesion ridgeback german shepherd -great dane mix name missy shes sweet. The other neighbor have the sister of our dogs named cassie and a daucsand named angel their sweet.Well thats all.
