All during Golden Girls run..... I was praying that they would show a episode with Phil.... Dorothy's brother who's a crossdresser but they never showed him!! I thought it would have been a very funny episode for him to come visit Dorothy & Sophia.... Oh well... that's one missed opportunity!

I agree. He would have been an interesting addition to the show for 1 or 2 episodes.

Yeah, I agree, actually I never thought of this before, but now, since it didn't happen, I realize you are right, yes they should've done that. LOL for not noticing before. LOL...........

I disagree...
What I think of Phil is different than what anyone else would imagine him to be. They played the character up so often that having someone "be" him would be a bit of a let down. It was someone that was better unseen, like Carlton the Doorman in "Rhoda."
There's my two cents...

Yeah i wanted to see him. When they had that episode with Phil dying it would have been funny to see him.

I've always wanted to know what Phil looked like. But if you want to get technical Phil WAS shown atleast you hear him crying as a baby in a flashback of when Sophia visits her old house.

The cook guy that lived with them (?) in the first episode or so was the closest thing we got to Phil.

The gay cook from the pilot episode was named CoCo. No relation to Dorothy or Sophia! :) I agree, it would have been nice to have seen Phil, but I guess not seeing him just added to the mystique, like Vera, Norm's wife on Cheers, or Maris, Niles' wife on Frasier. :)

And Iola's mother (and to a lesser extent, father) on "Mama's Family".
