It just seem like to me in the later seasons... Rudy always had this attitude with her... like she wasn't happy & she was always complaining or just in a mood all the time... She wasn't as happy & cheerful like when she was a kid... I kinda found it annoying.I mean there were moments when she seemed happy but most of the episodes.... she always had some problem.

Probably because in the last few seasons there were about 50 people living in the house.

Yeah, which meant that she wasn't getting most of the attention anymore.

And she wasn't being considered the youngest anymore.

Yeah, I agree with all of you. The majority of the attention went to Olivia, or Sondra and Elvin and the twins.

I think it was because she wasn't cute anymore.

I liked Olivia, but felt sorry for Rudy. For years she'd been the Cutie Pie of the family, then her weird hippie sister had to elope and bring in another Cutie Pie which snagged away her attention. Wasn't there an episode where Rudy writes a story ranting about her jealousy towards Olivia? I thought it was funny.

Also in the end even Kenny who wasn't a regular was more popular than she was- there's an episode where Kenny is babysitting Olivia and Rudy isn't even in it. Also there's the episode where Kenny comes over after Rudy and Stanley have an argument- Kenny is in most of the episode and Rudy is only in the very last scene. Rudy got lost in the shuffle.

You know what happened to Rudy Huxtable, don't you?

She grew up and met J. J. from Good Times and married him.

They now live in Cousin Pam's Ghetto. :D

Not only with the houseful of people, but remember, Rudy was hitting puberty in the later years. Almost every girl I've ever known, including myself gets moody and depressed from age 13 - 16 or so. Hormones rule our bodies unfortunately! ;)

Rudy was never thrirteen in the show though, was she?

I think Rudy was jealous of Olivia. But maybe that's not the only reason why she was depressed.

If Raven-Symoné came in and stole my thunder, I'd be pissed too.

I couldn't blame her all her brother/ sisters left the house, her parents were dealing with Pam/Olivia.

She had to put up with Kenny all day long

I just have to say, that since Rudy seemed to go from nine to eleven between fifth and sixth seasons, she must have been thirteen in the eighth and last season. My bad.

I don't think there was any jumping of her age, she was 5 in 1984 and 13 in 1992 which is 8 years

Let's see... If she was 5 in 1984, 6 in 1985, 7 in 1986 etc etc, she must have been 12 in 1991. She could have been 13 in the end of the 8th season, if she had a birthday... But she was 12 and a half already in 7th season, wasn't she? So I don't know...

What am I trying to say is Keshia Knight's age in real life was the same age for her character on the show.

She would have to be since she started out so young on the show.

It is easier to get away with an adult actor on a show to get away with their real age. With a child, you can't say they are older when they are actually 5 years old.

Other than Keshia Knight Pullman and the Olsen twins (Full House) what other child actors grew up before our eyes? There is also Ron Howard (Opie) from Andy Griffith Show. He literally grew up in front of our eyes from a young boy, to a teen, to an adult on Happy Days.

They all played their real ages, Tempestt was 11 when the show started and 23 years later she is 34, Macolm's was 14 and 23 years later he is 37, Lisa bonet was 16 and 23 years later she is now 39.

So it seems that Bill did his best to get actresses and an actor (the kids) who were the actual age of the character they were playing.

Don't know if you know this Solomon, but the show Eight is Enough had actors and actresses whose ages didn't match with their characters on the show. The only exception was Adam Rich who played Nicholas. A few of the girls were actually older than the step-mom played by Betty Buckley.

Except Sabrina LeBeauf (Sondra), all the kids played their age, yes.

You can be a college student when you're 26 though. LOL! But the Sondra character was five six years younger than what Sabrina was in real life.

I'm the same age as "Rudy", too! I turned 28 a week ago!

I don't think that I was as cute as Rudy when I was little.

"Yaaaaaaaayyyyyy Five!"
