I liked Carl's character on the show when he took Howard Rollins place. It looked like he had picked up some weight. I wonder what Carl is doing now. How many episodes did he play in on the show? I liked his movies Rocky III & IV & Action Jackson. I love Action Jackson. Sharon Stone & Craig T Nelson were also in Action Jackson.

He has been in a lot of stuff since he did Hampton Forbes.If you look up his credits , it's just way too much stuff to list.

I like Carl Weathers also, but the show wasn't the same when Rollins left and Weathers stepped in. Rollins and Carroll O' Connor had a great chemistry together and something was definitely missing without Rollins.

Kind of like when Ron Howard left Happy Days - the core relationship of that show was the friendship between Richie Cunningham and Fonzie. With Richie off "in the army," it wasn't the same anymore.

You can replace actors, true, but you can't replace chemistry.
