a gun when Will was shot? Carlton decided he was going to start shooting people and audience members could not stop laughing because they could not take carlton seriously-LOL. The Carlton character was knocking over tables and yelling and it just wasn't working because the crowd was still laughing and it was supposed to be a serious scene. You can't have someone play the role of a dork and then all of a sudden make the character a Tough guy. Anyone agree?

No I think they were laughing at Will because he kept making jokes while Carlton was being serious.... you notice that at the end when Will gets serious... that's when hte audience starts calming down.

Will was not acting silly. If you remember he was telling Carlton to give him the gun in a serious way. I think the crowd laughed when Carlton knocked his dinner on the floor and Will said-"I was going to eat that man"

That episode was on today. I listened for audience laughter very closely and I heard none whatsoever until Will gave Carlton a funny look and said "I was going to eat that!" after Carlton knocked the tray over

I heard absolutely nothing the other day and I listened for the slightest little sound...not trying to be rude, but maybe you should watch it again.

Maybe it's not on the syndicated version.

I hate when sitcoms try to be serious.
You never know if its a joke or not.

I don't really like it either, most of the time. I mean, it's cool that they confront serious issues, but if it is done too much, I don't like it. Not that I don't care about any of it, because I am a news junkie, but I watch sitcoms to ESCAPE reality!
