What did Philip do after the show was cancelled? Did he ever act in anything else? I heard he was doing psychic hotline commercials LOL. Is that true? Ya'll ever see him in the 70's movie Sparkle? He did a movie with Phylicia Rashad too that i remember that came on regular tv. Olivia Brown was the black female cop that played on Miami Vice. She was fine back then. I remember she was in 48 Hrs movie as Eddie Murphy's girlfriend.

I remember seeing PMT in a made-for-TV movie right after "Miami Vice," but I never saw him in too much after that. It's a real shame too, because I thought he was a very good actor. It's always sad when an actor does a fabulous job on a series, and then afterwards is never given the type or quantity of roles he deserves. Look at Brent Spiner who played Data on "Star Trek." Same story, although he seems to have done slightly more than PMT.

I didn't know Philip was from Columbus, Ohio. I went to imdb.com yesterday & looked up some information on him. He's 54 yrs old now. He was born in 49.

I wonder what Olivia Brown is doing now. She was hot on Miami Vice and i loved her body and the sexy outfits she wore. I saw her in a movie with Morris Chestnut and Taraji Henson called Not Easily Broken. Taraji was a real estate agent and she was trying to sell Olivia and her husband a house.

How Come Philip Michael Thomas Never Made It As Big as Denzel Washington? (http://www.lipstickalley.com/showthread.php/649906-How-Come-Philip-Michael-Thomas-Never-Made-It-As-Big-as-Denzel-Washington?p=16288587&viewfull=1#post16288587)
1) His acting chops (http://www.lipstickalley.com/showthread.php/649906-How-Come-Philip-Michael-Thomas-Never-Made-It-As-Big-as-Denzel-Washington?p=16284888&viewfull=1#post16284888) were nowhere near Denzel's level. He was corny and he knew it--which is why Miami Vice was the perfect vessel for him.
2) He burned too many bridges (http://www.lipstickalley.com/showthread.php/649906-How-Come-Philip-Michael-Thomas-Never-Made-It-As-Big-as-Denzel-Washington?p=16284349&viewfull=1#post16284349) during the height of his career (http://www.lipstickalley.com/showthread.php/431220-Any-Old-School-Tea-on-Philip-Michael-Thomas). Superstar or not, you still have to be cast and he became too much of a liability to take on.
3) His perceived 'pretty face' wore thin. With no skills to back it up (and releasing that terrible, can't sing, cornball album) he came out the gate losing.

LOL@TMC listing 3 reasons as to why Philip didn't do anything else after Miami Vice hahahahahahahahahahaha. Do you have any reasons as to why Olivia Brown didn't do that much after Miami Vice? LOL.

Miami Vice is being shown in Spanish on one of the off-air channels Telexitos (52.2) nightly and even the voice actors dubbing for both Johnson and Thomas can't make their acting any better.
It's odd how incredibly popular the show and for all the wrong reasons (flashy cars, designer clothes, beautiful women) but never once for the brilliant  acting and riveting  storylines.
