I was reading on yahoo.com today that Britney Spears is gonna play Daisy Duke in the movie. The guy who played Cooter on the Dukes says that they should have the real Daisy Duke played by Catherine Bach play herself. I don't know who the director is gonna get to play Bo & Luke, Uncle Jesse, Ennis, Roscoe, Boss Hogg. Cooter said there's gonna be a Dukes convention in Sperryville, Virginia this week. I've never heard of Sperryville. How far is that from Alexandria, VA & Virginia Beach?

I don't know where Virginia Beach and Alexandria are, but Sperryville is at
the intersections of US 211 and Route 522. It's also near the Shenandoah National Park. I hope this helps a little bit!!!

ok, i found something. they're aiming for a June 2005 release. I'm not thrilled with the selection of Britney Spears, but I think I could live with watching her in those short shorts.

I think Paul Walker of the "Fast & Furious" movies could be Bo and Luke could be someone like Ashton Kutcher!!:p

i am glad that a great show like this will get a breath of life, maybe it will be enuff to get it back on tv. i donno about the cast choosings.

i will be severely p-ed off if they spoof the movie. and i will also be mad if they take off the rebel flag on the general lee.

Unfortunately they are trying to appeal to the younger generation, not to those of us who grew up watching it. I'm tired of spoofs of tv shows. I just want a good movie that honors the series.

Even the so-called "younger generation" are tired of Britney Spears and Jessica Simpson, and another thing, who in the hell is going to go out and see this movie, when they are under the age of 12 and were not even around when the television show was originally on, and do not even know the premise of the televsion show; go see a movie because it has that untalented slut..Briteny Spears...She sucks, and I am so tired of seeing her rather overly ubiquitious mug on everything..Damn, she is worse than the Olsen Twins....

I've never heard of him. This movie sounds like it's gonna suck. It's gonna make the tv series look bad. What happened to Anthony Anderson who was gonna play Boss Hogg? I don't see him on the cast on imdb.com for the movie.

Johnny Knoxville is the guy from Jackass...he was also in Walking Tall with The Rock.

Oh ok. Johnny was The Rock's buddy in Walking Tall movie. He was funny in Walking Tall.

A friend of mine he told me he saw the previews for Dukes Of Hazzard movie recently. He said Jessica Simpson plays Daisy Duke & he told me i should see how nice her legs are because of the short shorts she wears in the movie. I haven't seen previews yet. Anybody know when the movie is coming out? My friend also told me Burt Reynolds is gonna play Boss Hogg. That ought to be interesting LOL.

No doubt that Jessica Simpson has nice legs... but what will be missing in this movie is the right timing for that...

When the TV show was on, NOBODY on TV was dressing like Daisy was...and Catherine Bach looked incredible in those shorts... but part of what made C Bach so special is that NO ONE else was doing what she was doing...

Nowadays, everyone on TV or in the movies wear as revealing an outfit as they can get away with... and with the internet being what it is today, we ain't gonna see nothing of Jessica Simpson's that we haven't seen before...

Today, female TV and Movie stars wearing short shorts is a common occurence... and, while J Simpson will no doubt look great in a Daisy outfit, there's nothing new there...

And kids today, with music videos and all the junk that 's on TV nowadays, have already seen it ALL... so the overall effect will not be the same... we're used to seeing a lot of skin.

I hope this movie tanks. The guys playing the Dukes aren't exactly world-class actors and Burt Reynolds as Boss Hogg??? Hogg was originally this short fat little guy and now he's a tall, thin guy???

I'm getting tired of remakes in general and this movie looks like a disaster. I mean, a Duke wearing a Led Zeppelin T-shirt?? About the only clever thing I can see about this is Willie Nelson as Uncle Jesse.

This movie looks like white trash on parade.
