Does anyone know who played Kristin Shepard before Mary Crosby and who played Jenna Wade before Priscilla Presley ? I know that David Wayne played Digger Barnes before Keenan Wynn and I'm not sure but I think David Aykroyd played Gary Ewing before Ted Shackleford.

I forgot that they even had another Kristen! I know that Morgan Fairchild played Jenna Wade in 1978, after coming off of "Search for Tomorrow" as Jennifer Pace from 1973-1977. She went on to star in the two-season primetime soap "Flamingo Road," another Lorimar soap.

Coleen Camp played Kristin. Morgan Fairchild and Francine Tacker played Jenna Wade before Priscilla Presley joined the cast.:lol:

Don't forget that someone other than Victoria Principal, an actress named Margaret Michaels, played a post-plastic surgery Pam in one 11th season episode. Michaels later came back and played a Pam lookalike in a few episodes.

Keep your eye out for David Wayne as Digger -- NOBODY plays a drunk like him (except for maybe Linda Gray as Sue Ellen). The first season premiere (after the five-episode miniseries) shows Digger careening in a car, drunk, onto Southfork and smashing into one of the driveway posts. There's an excellent confrontation between Digger and Jock. Don't miss it. Keenan Wynn's Digger was way too mellow after Wayne's bitter portrayal. But David Wayne left the series after the first full season to do the sitcom "House Calls", so Keenan Wynn came in to tie up the character's storyline. Too bad.

Morgan Fairchild's Jenna was VERY different than Priscilla Presley's. When Fairchild played the role (for just one episode), Jenna was a vixen. Same with Francine Tacker. The character was changed into a nice girl when Presley came along.

In the first 2-parter involving Gary Ewing, Mr. Ewing was played by David Ackroyd. In all the Dallas/KL eps afterwards, Ted Shackelford played Gary Ewing.

Unless I misread and didn't see it, we're missing the obvious...
