View Full Version : Don't Forget Tonight's "House Of Blues"!
pilotguy 07-30-2003, 12:32 PM Yes, on tonight's "Viewer Appreciation" block (which is the last of the Season 8 episodes), NICK will be showing the infamous "House Of Blues" episode...the one where Joe and Helen become nudists!
Don't get TOO excited, gang....You're not going to actually see any of the really GOOD stuff, but the idea of Joe and Helen parading around the house naked (with the vital parts shrewdly concealed by newspapers, aprons, etc.) sounds like it's going to be a WILD time!
Chocoholic 07-30-2003, 12:51 PM This is also the episode where Brian, Antonio, and Casey buy a house together.
Krista2882 07-31-2003, 08:32 AM hahaha! That sounds really funny. I haven't watched any of last night's episodes yet.

:)
wingshock 07-31-2003, 01:27 PM I only watched the one when Fay sold her late husbands' things. I saw that this morning. Did anybody else see it yet?
The part I thought was the funniest was when Joe & Helen took that guy up in the plane... "That Chunky's looking pretty good right now."
Hopefully I can watch one or two more tonight when I get home.
Love,
Wing<><

Just watched it. That was the first time I'd ever seen that one. It made more sense... the fact that since Brian & Casey were gone the whole house was a "nude zone" -- that helped explain why they got into nudity.
I didn't really think the ep was too funny, tho... let's see when did I really laugh out loud? Mmmmm... don't think I did.
But I did lol in the other ep where Brian was reading the letters from the mysterious "R" ... when he accidentally ate the potting soil and then spit it all back out.

phoebe7165 08-03-2003, 11:24 PM In the episode with the Chunky, the writers used "Isn't It Romantic" AGAIN!!! Joe was cracking me up with his facial expressions while they were up in the plane. It was like he was so smug. BTW, I'm sure alot of us remember Chunky? They're not sold all over the country, so some might not know what it is. I've only watched that episode from Wed. so I have no more comment on any of the other episodes yet.:) :D  :p

Apparently "Chunky" was the official candy of "WINGS".....I remember another episode where Joe reminds Brian that when their father had his big mental breakdown, the men from the asylum lured Dad Hackett into the wagon with a Chunky!
It's interesting how "Wings" was able to get away with making fun of actual brand-name products....last week they showed the episode where Antonio is sitting at Helen's lunch counter and orders a Fresca. He's never had Fresca before, and he's always been meaning to try it. Antonio takes one sip of Fresca, holds it in his mouth for a few seconds...and then spits it back into his cup like it was poison! (The look on Casey's face when he did that was PRICELESS!).
phoebe7165 08-04-2003, 12:06 AM OK, about Fresca. Has anybody tasted Fresca? My mom used to buy it when I was a kid, and I thought it tasted horrible. I'm not sure if she still buys it(probably), but I'll probably still not like it as an adult.:p :p :p :p
Krista2882 08-04-2003, 09:46 AM The "House Of Blues" episode- i just watched it last night. That was so funny how Joe and Helen decided to just do everything around their house in the nude.
Joe cleaning out the raingutters in the nude?.. lol!! Man, doesn't the thought occur to them that they have neigbors??! hello! If you're going to do stuff around the outside of your house naked, you do it when it's dark out.... lol.
That was really funny though. I didn't think the rest of the episode was very interesting or funny though..
then the first two episodes that were on on Wednesday night... "Fay There Georgy Girl"- that one was boring.
and "Escape From New York"- that was boring AND bizarre. Antonio was scaring me. lol. and Helen in a drag contest? WTF? that was just bizarre. ....Brian should have been in the contest instead. hahahahahaha! Now how funny would that have been to see Brian dressed in drag?
"Ms. Write" was a pretty boring episode too. Well, there were a couple of funny parts like when Brian ate potting soil instead of popcorn when he was reading the letters. hahaha!
and then when Antonio was installing Joe and Helen's alarm system, and the time when he opened the door, dropped to his knees and shuffled across the floor on them so that he wouldn't trip the alarm- the way he did that was sooo funny, I bust out laughing. But I think that was the only time that I actually laughed out loud during that episode...

I happen to be one of the five people in America who actually LIKES Fresca...it's sort of like carbonated grapefruit juice (only sweeter).....
It's DR. PEPPER that would make ME spit soda back into my cup!
