This post is inspired by the fact I am going in to get a really cute feminine shag cut on Friday. Currently, I just have chin/shoulder-length hair - all one length. Nothing to write home about. It's boring and I want shorter hair anyway. :lookaroun

So, how about you guys? :)

My hair's short, boring, nothing special. I'm looking for a better haircut for school.

My hair is a lil over 2 feet long, blonde (its turning brown) with black streaks, straight... my bangs are grown out and a lil wavy.

My hair is a little longer than shoulder length and its kinda wavy...blah.

When it gets longer it gets kinda puffy and curly. Than when i go a REALLY Long time without getting a haircut its almost an afro.

Just a little past my shoulders and straight...and I'm too lazy to do anything with it so it just hangs there most of the time. Gah.

Brown, however bleached blonde, just...flatish. Check in pics and you'll see.

My hair is long and curly. I really can't do much with it so I usually just pull it back in a ponytail.

I have long brown hair, with blonde highlights. My bangs have grown out too. My hair is pretty boring...

Let's see...right now it's straight...sorta. Light brown (cause of highlights), my bangs are grown out. Sometimes I don't straighten it and I just leave it curly, though. It's JUST past my shoulders.

My hair is a little past my shoulders,natural strawberry-blonde and thick.Also,parted in the middle.

I have very dark brown hair with highlights that started out to be this really pretty copper red, but lately they've been fading to a brownish blondish color :mad:. I wear it down almost all the time. It's really straight. I used to straighten it when it was shorter, but now since it's so long its straight by itself. It's really thick too, which I don't like sometimes. After I wash it I brush it til it's straight, then I let it air dry, because I prefer it over blow drying (which can be damaging sometimes). Then I put a little bit of mousse or gel in it...erm yeah I'm obsessed with hair, lol.

On school days I slick my hair back with mousse. Other than that I just comb it to the right.

I dont really have one I dont think... Its just layered and straight. I also have maroon highlights in my hair.

It's a few inches past my shoulders, thick and straight. I had bangs, but they're finally to the point where I can pull them back with the rest of my hair. If I wanna go for a 'look', sometimes I'll use a curling iron to give it a few curls or make it wavy, or I'll put it up in a loose bun.

On the left side I slick it back and then comb the rest of the hair to the right. On some occasions I wear a pompadour (sp?)

I got my hair cut on June 5th real short because I like my hair long, but its so...BLAH when it gets long. I got about 5 inches lopped off. Its about an inch and a half past my shoulders, 2 inches in the back. I got a few 2 inch chunky layers for volume and versatility. I also got it re-darkeneded with blonde highlights put it. I hate blonde, but got it for the summer. Im starting to hate it, so I need to make a new appt. I plan on getting a trim and going dark again.

My hair is almost to my butt, straight and a blondish, brownish, reddish color.

My hair is just past my shoulders in the back, and flips out, and a little below my chin in the front....I hate it too. I wish it was longer....I dunno what made me wanna have it cut off, but I did. So now I have to suffer while it grows back.

Long, wavy, thick, dark blonde hair, which is a pain in the ass when it is humid because it becomes frizzy and puffy looking:(

My hair is bottle blonde and just past my shoulders. I wear bangs and I curl my hair which is very straight and wear it down most of the time. I wear a ball cap a lot and pull my hair through the back . Not too stylish

My hair color is auburn because I dyed it. It's also straight and really long it goes to the middle of my back. I need to get it cut, but I'm too lazy. I hate long hair too it annoys me. I really like that haircut. It flatters your face. Me, on the other hand, it would make look fat. lol

Mines, umm, halfway to the halfway mark of my back. lol And, its usually dark dark brown, but its summer, so it's lighter and I got blond highlights, so...I'm blond, basically. It's really layered and it frames my face.

Be daring - go for it! You can always opt for the long shag cut (I asked for the short shag cut) so that if you ever get bored of your hair, you can pull it back. :)

NEwayz, that's a REALLY awesome haircut! I've ALWAYS loved that style. I would get it but I have curly hair. And I don't have the patience to dry my hair everyday.

I feel so weird w/ bangs, I haven't had bangs since I cut them off myself in 1994 (that's a whole long story for some other time :lol: ), and it feel so great to have short hair again. I have finally achieved my goal of getting a shag cut. People told me a shag cut wouldn't work with my type of hair because I have wavy hair. SO WHAT. I can blow-dry it straight and I have Bed Head Control Freak to get it under control. :D

my hair is long brown and straight. If I let it dry naturally it's a little wavy.

I just got my hair cut today! It looks like Paige Davis', except about an inch and a half longer and not as... 'flippy'. It's got lots of blonde weaved-in highlights with a lot of layers.

fer school i am getting more blonde highlights and layered again, and my bangs r currently grown so i pull them up with my ponytail ( i ferget what its called, lol, stupid me) but I am getting them trimmed and curled out so i look more like Jo, lol

A little past the shoulders (shorter than i'd like it to be)... straight...and dark (used to be dark brown...but now I think it's black)...and I don't really fix it anymore so basically give me a brush and I'm good to go ;) ...hehehe although, I do pull it up in a ponytail every once in awhile...and messybuns are always good...

Huh...you sound like me. I don't have it layered and I don't have blonde...but yea...I either have it in a bun or ponytail every...single...day...;).

Curly hair is the WORST. Everyone comes up to me (mostly ppl in their 40's...50's, random strangers may I add)

Ha, I had short hair when I was a teenager, and I looked HORRIBLE! I am still emotionally scarred. :lol:

I went thru years of perms, bleaches, frosting etc etc etc....and FINALLY have arrived at short wisky bob and I love the Freedom...... Get a cut every 6-8 weeks, wash it and blow it dry when it needs washed...

Shoulder length with bangs, I have always worn bangs because I have a high forehead. In high school, the 60's, I wore short teased hair . Then in the 70's I grew it out long and went short again briefly in the 80's for a while.

On the long hair, I have a kinda new friend next bldg over, we share our experiences with hip replacements, she did 2 and lives on a rollator.... Well, she is my age and has a Long Braid down past her butt and I've wondered about that and if she ever washes her hair and why the one thick braid, but I've never approached her on that.....but to me, pretty strange...
