Can't remember where I read this but... with the success of so many spin-offs such as CSI Miami, both Law and Orders. The Networks are hoping viewers will do the same for sitcom spin-offs. NBC has already bought a few episodes of the "Friends" spin-off "Joey" without a script even written yet. Now CBS wants to spin-off "Everybody Loves Raymond" but CBS has not said who they want to spin-off. Most critics beleive Ray's brother will spin-off.
But now NBC president Jeff Zucker has had talks with Megan Mullaly about spinning of Karen. He wants to spin-off her character by the 2004-2005 season. Megan has said she does have interest in a spin-off but only when Will and Grace is off the air. So NBC may have to wait till the 2005-2004 season since Will and Grace is still signed on for the 2004-2005 season.

Sorry if this has already been mentioned but when they cut to a commercial break on the Oprah Winfrey show yesterday, they showed a very short clip mentioning that the Will and Grace cast will be on Oprah this Friday.

It looks as though Debra Messing will have to be present via satalite because of her pregnancy, but still, looks like it will be pretty nice.

I remember watching the cast on the Actor's Studio and it was great!

Don't forget to watch everyone.

Latest news: NBC has fired the show runners and will replace them as early as next week. this comes after the sued the network for "neogtiating a liscensing fee under market value." Effectivley, the network, which owns the show, negotiated with itself to pay $5mil an episode two years ago, which'll bringing the show into its 7th season.

The producers other series, Good Morning Miami has effectively been cancelled because of this.

So a question goes out: do you think $5mil an episode is fair for the show?

I think it's more than fair- ratings are sliding and it was the same amount Friends and ELR made at that point in their runs. Both series were more popular at the time.

Also, do you think the 7th season will be the last for the show?

NBC Sues 'Will & Grace' Creators -

LOS ANGELES - NBC filed suit against the creators of "Will & Grace" in an ongoing dispute over how negotiations for the sitcom's renewal were conducted in 2002.

The network filed a countersuit against David Kohan and Max Mutchnick on Wednesday, claiming the pair failed to lead contract talks as agreed.

In their December lawsuit, Kohan and Mutchnick said the network and NBC Studios breached contracts and acted in bad faith.

The men accused the two companies of failing to shop the show to the highest bidder, colluding instead to keep profits within the NBC family. General Electric owns both companies.

In its counterclaim, NBC alleged the pair were expected to lead negotiations between NBC and NBC Studios, which produces "Will & Grace," as an independent third party.

The intent was to avoid the appearance of a sweetheart agreement between the network and its studio subsidiary.

An employee at Kohan and Mutchnick's office said Thursday that they had no immediate statement.

"Will & Grace," about a New York City interior designer and her best friend, a gay lawyer, has won 12 Emmys since its creation in 1998.

the will & grace music album will be released on 9/4/ 2004.
isn't that amazing. I'm so exited. Their will be one song from the cast, called Who's Your Daddy, and than songs they allready played on the show like Got to Be Real" from Cheryl Lynn and "Can't Help Lovin' Dat Man" from Ella Fitzgerald. My favorite is "17 again" from season 4 (when grace is depressed). I hope it's on the album too.

All Will and Grace news and related news having to do with the show should be posted here only. Reason being is when one person post something like a guest star who will appear few people reply to that post. That in a way is wasting that post if only one person relies. You can wish but the show is losing steam and running it's course. The show will be ending after it's 7th and FINAL season! In other words, DON'T Hold Your Breath. The show is funny but not as funny as it was in the first 4 seasons! So Forget W&G coming past 2005. The show needs to take a rest snce it isn't as funny anymore. '70s Show OTOH, is still funny since I get the show paired with W&G in reruns but these two shows should wrap up next season. It's not as fun to watch anymore. :(

Rumors Abound, Cast May Not Want 8th Season

Now while we are a site that tries to bring you news only when it's on paper, we had to post this one after getting word from a trusted Warner Bros source. There's word flying that the cast may not want a new season after this one is finished in the spring. Why may you ask? With the talks for a new season breaking down over the summer twice, script problems (specifically involving major guest stars playing themselves), no word of cast raises, and the on-going problems that have arisen between the studio and creators. Plus, many are unhappy that the show wasn't given the 8PM time slot it wanted since word of Friends departure was first confirmed, and instead was given to Joey which has had sagging ratings every week since its premiere. Whether or not this is all true has yet to be seen, as renewal talks have been set for the first week in November. We'll keep you posted as we find more.

One More Rumor To Come From The Mill

A single season rumor has been passing through other chat boards and websites this week, so we checked into it. We don't have a lot of info, but word out of NBC says the show may be signed to at least one year instead of a multi-year contract, which would bring it to eight seasons. Trouble with this recent rumor is nothings been signed and there's strangely no word from either producers of the show, or even Warner Bros on the matter. Don't be surprised if it turns out to be fake.

If NBC renews the show then I think they are going to say it is the last season and give it 16 episodes. The show's ratings are down and the license fees are too much.

I wouldn't bet on it being renewed, but then again, NBC does own the show, so it's negotiating with itself. I'd wait to see how "the Office" and NBC's other mid season comedy performs before before making the final call. If it's going tobe cancelled, we'll know soon, probably some time in February so they can throw a series finale thogether. With NBC's love of huge series exits, they won't just cancel it at the upfronts in May.

Is Megan shilling everything? First the M&M's, now I see on these internet ads for travelocity or priceline...

I doubt it's getting renewed at this point either. If it's already three months til the end of the season and even the cast is in the dark as to the future of the show, it's not looking good.

Word Out Of WB, Set To Be Left Alone

From the Warner Brothers lot, word has come in to leave the set of Will & Grace alone. This is promising news since when a show is usually set to be canceled or ended, work orders are sent in to the crew from management to "decommission." In other words, take apart the set. When both Friends and Frasier were set to end last year, work orders were sent in a good two months in advance. However, since the show has had an unknown future, no advanced plans have been made. So the set being saved shows hope for an 8th season.

Nominated for 15 emmys tied along with Desperate Housewives. Will and Grace once again proved the they have what it takes. The show despite horrible ratings got 15 nods including best comedy. chances are they will lose in that category because of so much of Desperate Housewives buzz.
