TVFactFan 07-29-2003, 07:14 PM Originally posted by Raptor77 I heard about this show called out of the blue and people say its a spinoff of mork and mindy, but why was the pilot aired on Happy Days? I have the answer. Out of the Blue was not a Spinoff of Mork and Mindy. The show Out of the Blue premeired in 1979 and aired on Sunday Night right before Mork and Mindy. Mork guest starred on the first episode of Out of the Blue to boost the ratings on ept 13, 1979. Answer to Mork and Mindy Pilot The Pilot of Mork and Mindy was not a Happy Days Episode. Henry Winkler and Penny Marshall Guest Starred on the pilot to boost ratings for Mork and Mindy on Sept 13, 1978. In the pilot, Mork tells Mindy about his visit with Fonzie and how Fonzie set him up on a date with Laverne from Laverne and Shirley so he can learn about dating. Hope i helped. Sorry i read the last question wrong. You was referring to the pilot of Out of the Blue not Mork and Mindy. Ok here it is. Out of the Blue crossovered with Happy Days on September 25, 1979. The character RANDOM from OUt of the Blue guest starred on Happy Days ad wanted Chachi to sell his soul. The pilot of Out of the Blue which aired on September 9, 1979 had nothing to do with Happy Days. So Out of The Blue was not a spinoff of Mork and Mindy or Happy Days. They were just crossover episodes. It's Extremely RARE i doubt if anyone would've saved it if they HAD taped it - it wasn't very good :) TVFactFan 08-29-2004, 09:50 PM Originally posted by robyrob i doubt if anyone would've saved it if they HAD taped it - it wasn't very good :) I found someone on the Tape Trading Board who had a episode of Out of The Blue but i didn;t have anything to offer the person for a copy. The person was only looking for Variety Shows only. So copies of the show are out there. I just don't want to spend money for the show. robyrob 08-30-2004, 07:39 AM Originally posted by TVShow Analyzer I just don't want to spend money for the show. a wise decision - the ONLY reason to own a copy of this show would be if you were a serious collector looking for the cross-over eps with M&M and HD/L&S characters. It's a good show to have if you are a TV Trader but I would only trade for it now buy. I don't think the Out of the Blue episode with Mork as a Guest exists any longer. That episode is gone forever. |
