Because it was perfect when it was just the 5 members (Carla, Norm, Diane, Sam and Coach) and it was perfect when it was 9 members...... Don't get me wrong, the cast of Cheers was the best ensemble ever, but I believe it would have been interesting to see what they would have done with that character.
