Hello:

I missed the episode back in 1983 where Richie and Fonzie get into a fist fight over something.

Did anyone see the episode? What was it about? Who won the fight? How bad were the injuries? Did the two "make up" and stay friends?

I was too busy watching "The A-Team" and never saw the last year of "Happy Days". (They did not have VCRs, back then.)

Thanks!

The episode was called Welcome Home, and it aired during season 11 as a two-parter. Richie returns from the Army with dreams of becoming a movie writer, although no one knows this but Ralph. Everyone assumes he's home for good, and Howard gets him a job at the Milwaukee Journal. Richie, all bent out of shape because he feels like he has to please everyone else, takes to hanging out in bars and drinking. When Fonzie goes to find him and bring him home, Richie punches him in the jaw.

It wasn't a bad punch, and Fonzie quickly recovered. He grabbed Richie and pinned him down on a pool table to calm him down. When Richie realized what he did, he felt bad and the two made up. Fonzie told Richie he needed to be true to himself and that Lori Beth (who had no clue of Richie's desire to move to Hollywood) would support him in whatever he chose to do.

In the end, despite everyone's disappointment, Richie and LB moved to Hollywood. The family realized though, that Richie had to follow his dream, so it was all ok.
