Granted the cereal sucked, but I enjoyed those commercials...lol i was thinking that abut a week ago when i was eating them... lol ¤I Love Clay Aiken¤ 07-29-2003, 01:08 AM I hated the commercial and the cereal. Crimson and Clover 07-29-2003, 01:09 AM i never much cared for the cereal or the commercials pandora_spocks 07-29-2003, 02:32 AM I used to like that cereal, but haven't had it in ages. Haven't seen the commercials in ages either. Mijada 07-29-2003, 10:20 AM Come to think of it, I hardly see any cereal commercials anymore. They used to always show those Fruity and Cocoa Pebbles ones. They must be on on Saturday morning or something. Penny Lane 07-29-2003, 10:37 AM I don't know but I have always liked it! Way back when I was young it was called Sugar Corn Pops. Golden Crisp was Sugar Crisp. Using the word "sugar" in the brand names got "politically incorrect" and sugar was dropped from the name. But the cereals still contained the sugar. This has always bugged me. Like dropping the sugar from the name changed anything! DianeChambers87 07-29-2003, 12:40 PM Originally posted by Penny Lane I don't know but I have always liked it! AllIWantIsYourClutch 07-29-2003, 12:41 PM Aww I want some Corn Pops. Penny Lane 07-29-2003, 01:30 PM Originally posted by DianeChambers87 how is "sugar" politically incorrect? Guess what I mean is that a few years ago sugar was considered "taboo" for children so they had to soften the advertizing . Another example is Honey Smacks. It was originally called Sugar Smacks. But to placate"whoever" they changed the name. Sugar sort of turned into an obscene word? Man, I ate tons of sugar growing up without any ramifications.(Even brown sugar sandwiches!) My kids ate sugared cereals all the time. I am so sick of these "experts"*cough cough* telling us how to eat. It all comes down to common sense.:D PZelda 07-29-2003, 02:10 PM Originally posted by ¤MsConanOBrien¤ I hated the commercial and the cereal. Same here! folfreak25 07-29-2003, 02:45 PM The cereal's alright. But the commercails get on my nerves. Atleast I haven't seen one since 2000. PZelda 07-29-2003, 05:40 PM Originally posted by folfreak25 The cereal's alright. But the commercails get on my nerves. Atleast I haven't seen one since 2000. I saw a couple in late 2001...I believe I may have a few tapes around here somewhere from October of 2001 that might have a commercial for Corn Pops. I'm not sure, I don't have it at the moment. :) PZelda 07-29-2003, 05:42 PM Originally posted by Mijada Come to think of it, I hardly see any cereal commercials anymore. Those days, all they ever show for cereals are those stupid healthy cereals....you know, this one made for women, Total, Special K, etc. WHERE ARE THE KIDDIE CEREALS?!?!?!?!?! |
