A-Ha. "Take On Me" is classic.

Dexy's Midnight Runners "Come On Eileen"

In 1980-81, I was HUGE into Gary Numan. I saw him do "Cars" on SNL, along with "Praying to the Aliens", and I was hooked. I was really into the synth thing back then. I got into his "Pleasure Principle" album and got into his lyrics and drony synth tunes. It was all so cool, so alienated android kinda thing. I got into his "Replicas" and "Telekon" albums, with songs like "Are Friends Electric?" "Down in the Park" "Me, I Disconnect From You"; "This Wreckage" "I Die: You Die" "Please Push No More." I got into it because it reflected pain and alienation. I also liked "Complex" "M.E.", "Conversation" and "Metal".

Hey Lucy, you got 'splaining to do.

EASY CHOICE: When in Rome.

They came out with a full album, and they really weren't a group you'd guess would only have one hit (unlike an artist like Toni Basil, who had "one hit wonder" written all over her.) I wonder what happened to them.

Tommy Tutone "867-5309/Jenny"

I voted for "Take On Me" by A-Ha (I also LOVE that music video), but it was really a tie between that one, "She Blinded Me With Science" by Thomas Dolby, "Break Out" by Swing Out Sister (lol), and "Cars" by Gary Neuman (although the Fear Factory vesion of this song is 5 times better, I still like the original a lot).

Toni Basil's Mickey. "Go Mickey! Go Mickey!" It just makes me wanna dance and spin around when I hear it. It is just a great song!

The music video for Take on me IMO is one of the best music videos ever made!
