It was hard to choose between Can't Hardly Wait. (A movie i use to obsess over like 3 years ago) or The Breakfast Club, probably one of the best movies of the 80s, But I picked the Breakfast Club, mainly because your never the same after you seen it.

Of course there are alot more teen movies out there. I think you could've meantioned A walk to Remember. That movie comes to mind as a HUGE teen movie.

I wouldnt consider any of the Olsen Twins movies as "teen movies", they're aimed more at pre-teen girls.

Some great choices here indeed! However, my favorite teen flick would be The Last American Virgin

I'm really showing my age here

I was thrilled that it was finally released on DVD last year. My bootleg VHS copy was getting worn out

Wow, Last American Virgin?! I haven't seen that in a while but it had Diane Franklin in it, who was also in "Better Off Dead" with John Cusack. I haven't seen her in anything lately.

I'll have to pick Sixteen Candles. I've only seen the movie 4 billion times and never get sick of it. Hey, that also has John Cusack!!

"10 Things I Hate About You." Probably one of the best modern adaptations of one of Shakespeare's plays, in this case "The Taming of the Shrew," that one will ever see. It also helps that it was filmed in the city, where I use to live.

I picked breakfast club (1985)

But I also like Ferris Buellers Day off (1986)

I have both on VHS :) (Breakfast club recorded from analogue cable (HBO))

Its really worth having this movie IN ANALOGUE/MONO because it looks so much better and in MONO you can actually hear stuff outside the school.... A plane,etc........

When I had the offical MCA tape it was aweful,I couldnt hear ANYTHING,the audio was horrible (Video bad also)

Ferris Bueller's Day Off, then Clueless. Mean Girls (the original Lindsay Lohan version) is a good popular teen movie that had not been made yet at the time of this poll.
